bodybuilders - Tawan bar versus massage parlors

Hi guys,

I'd appreciate any advice on finding competition level bodybuilders in Bangkok. The Mr. Thailand bodybuilding competiton is March 13 and 14th in Bangkok. I arrive March 20 for a week so I'm hoping to meet some guys who just finished competing and are in ripped shape.

 

Other than going to Tawan bar, can you recommend some massage parlors or saunas (or any other establishments) that might have bodybuilders like those on Thaibody.com? I'm interested in non-nude muscle worship only with a lot of flexing and posing. I don't like off-season guys; only ripped guys.

 

Also, other than bigger bodybuilders, I am very attracted to lean, smaller guys that have a lot of visible veins on their arms, legs and chest. For some reason, I am fascinated and turned on by guys with extremely low bodyfat that result in being able to see their veins popping out of paperthin skin. Are there any bars that might cater to that look, i.e., lean guys?

 

Age is not really a factor so long as they are over 18. In fact, I usually find bodybuilders over 30 have the best muscle maturity.

Try gyms and Muay Thai schools. I don't think you're going to find many massage boys that fit the bill.

 

Put an ad on Gay Romeo and try their escorts section. In Bangkok go to Lumphini Park, where the body builders like to work out.

chances are very, very slim. BBg-I have said so before-simply is not a popular thing in Thaild. Good grief, it is not!

The ''workout men'' at LUmpini/exercise are said to be for 95% Tawan-workers.

I have frankly never seen any ad or other thing about massagehouses proclaiming to have those types.

Sites like gayromeo-or the various Thai-only sites (newest seems to be msngaythai)-just try-at least they have easy search engines on them.

You might try Hero massage. Other than that, why not just stick with Tawan? It is THE place for the type you describe. The guys working out at Lumphini are working out, and I don't get the feeling they are in to hooking up while there.

For great bodybuilders, I love Hero Massage and California Wow on Silom. The guys at Silom are available and willing. The saunas are also quite busy.

Busy with body builders? The times I have gone to Babylon Sauna, I've never seen any body builders there. I see some muscular guys using the exercise room, but have never seen anything close to the type run26mile is trying to find. I think he'll have much better luck at California Wow and the Hero Massage, although I don't know why he doesn't simply stick to the Tawan bar, where he is guaranteed to find what he wants.

It's my first time in Bangkok, and I like to do as much research as I can before I arrive to a new country. So, that's why I have a lot of questions and am asking for more places than just Tawan. I appreciate all the advice, however, I also believe that all bodybuilding roads are leading to Tawan Bar.

 

As I said before, I'll happily report on my experiences. If I get their permission, I'll post pictures of the guys too. Hopefully I'll give some live updates.

Isn't California Wow a fitness center? When is the best time of day or night to go to California Wow or to Lumpini Park to find guys? I'm white but do lift weights five days a week and am comfortable in a gym.

 

When is best time to go to Tawan to get the most selection? Am I right that I should expect to pay 2000 baht at Tawan for 2 hours in addition to the off fee?

 

I assume it is proper to tip the Tawan mamasan when he finds you the exact guy you're looking for. How much?

 

I'm staying at the Lebua. I've noticed some good comments on bringing back joiners. I've booked for 2 adults but it's just me so I won't pay a joiner fee. Should I still ask the guy to turn over his ID to security at Lebua?

I can't answer your other questions, but for this question the answer is yes.

I recommend getting to Tawan Bar soon after they open (8:30-10:30). The guys are walking around and very friendly. You can talk to them and make arrangements at that time. If you wait until the show starts-between 10:30 and 11:00, it is almost impossible to make any contact. After the show, the guy you want may already be taken.

Does anyone have any recent reports from Tawan? I saw a few reviews back in Nov and Dec when some of the guys were not competing. With the Mr. Thailand competition in two weeks, I'm hoping some are dieting down nicely to a ripped physique.
