Guest bolero Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Walking by Good Boys one encounters very aggressive and gangster looking doormen who grab and step in your way to force you into their joint. Well, against my better judgment and others, I went in. The boys and believe me when I say BOYS were prancing about like crazy. Asked for a whiskey and soda from the waiter and while waiting, mama-san came over and started pointing out this boy and that and what they could do. Told her I was capable of selecting whom I wanted and asked to her to leave. Drink arrived tasting like soda with a dripping of whiskey and then a boy quite certainly not 18+ sat down and started massaging me and 'handling' me. Told him I wasn't interested and please leave. After 4 requests he finally gave up and wanted a tip. Told him no and to get lost. Finished my drink quickly, left the exact amount of this soda (140 Baht) much to the consternation and displeasure of the now surly waiter and left only to be met by the "door Mafia" who wanted a tip for eating, holding the door, etc. I escaped unscathed but would advise anybody with sense to avoid this child's playroom like the plague. Luckily found Crazy Dragon across the street with pleasant and friendly doormen and waiters, 18+ year old boys who knew when to quit and move on. All drinks 99 Baht and a superior experience compared with the disgusting place across the street. Quote

I have avoided this bar and will continue to do so. Surely this bar is not a member of SPI? Quote

When entering a bar for the first time, always spend 30 seconds looking at what's on offer BEFORE sitting down. If it's no good, turn around & walk out without buying a drink. Quote
