Make sure you know the age of your partner - and do not get caught engaging in anal sex, which is against Malaysian law. A 39-year old Malaysian man who brought the first constitutional challenge against the ban on sodomy in Malaysia and who was appealing against his conviction of 60 years in jail and 22 strokes of rotan for sodomising a 14-year-old male, lost his appeal, according to The Star newspaper. Allegedly, he had sex with the young man on several occasions in 2007. Whilst I have sympathy for anyone facing a lifetime in jail, the fact is he was having sex with a minor. He is also HIV-positive, although the newspaper does not say he wore condoms. If he did not, then he may have sentenced that young man to a lifetime of medication and uncertainty. Quote
