For those that knew him, long term resident of Pattaya Somsak Martin (Martin Frutin) passed away earlier following his long battle with illness.

I am very sorry and quite shocked at this news. I knew Martin casually and I had no idea he was ill. He was quite a unique personality and the kind of person you couldn't help but really like. This is very sad news.

I have known Martin for about 16 years and he has always wanted to entertain you its a sad lose to loose any of our gay Family but to loose a guy who is so talented is Devastating, the world is short of characters'.

He was always so full of joy and happiness. My condolences to his friends and family.

Martin always wore hundreds of Buddha amulets around his neck. He spoke many different languages and also different dialects. He could sound like he was a New Yorker, a southerner, even a valley girl.

 

I never knew he was ill either. Last time I saw him he was driving a Volvo convertible through Day Night area.

 

It seems that we (Pattaya Community) are losing many of our old time iconic Friends. Martin always made me and my Thai friend laugh. His Thai was very good.
