Gaybutton Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Many of you know Hugh Millar. Hugh first came to Pattaya for a holiday, met Jim Lumsden of The Ambiance, and never went home again. He became the day manager of The Ambiance and was there for many years. Then Hugh wanted to try branching out on his own. Hugh had experience with restaurant ownership back in Scotland, his home country. When the original Second Road location of the Mata Hari restaurant became available, Hugh took over the premises and opened the Symphony restaurant, after which he became involved with Pascal, of the Casa Pascal restaurant. Together they transformed the Poseidon restaurant, located in the Jomtien Complex, into the fine restaurant it is today. Now Hugh has taken the opportunity to become the new manager at Manhattans. Congratulations Hugh! The following appears in the PATTAYA DAILY NEWS: For photos see: http://www.pattayadailynews.com/en/2010/01/12/new-manager-at-pattaya%E2%80%99s-manhattan-restaurant-2/ _____ New Manager At Pattaya Quote
kokopelli Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Thanks for the info GB. There was some sort of incomprehensible post by LMTU on another forum that left this reader totally confused. It had to do with the new manager at Manhattans but beyond that, it made no sense. Quote
Guest HeyGay Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Glad to see the owners of the Manhatton Steak House have at last seen sense to have a Gay Manager, I hope now they can move forward to a profit, as the ambience, quality and atmosphere, of the restaurant is most amazing, if only the price was more like Pattaya prices, rather than New York or London. Good to see at last the story written by LMTU has now been confirmed, some times people must think he makes it all up, but once again he came through with a good story. Quote

I am also glad they have gotten a gay manager. I guess they realized the importance gay friendliness is to their business model. But, that LMTU character is usually right in his gossip / news flashes / bulletins / etc Quote
