What bar do you find the most enjoyable guys at?

I have found many guys over Thailand that I really like. Most of my long term guys have not been bar boys but met other places.

The one bar that did the most for me when I first started visiting Thailand was Future Boys in Bangkok. I had so many wonderful guys there that I didn't know what to do. I loved my time there and I knew I would get lucky every time I took a guy from there.

In Pattaya, I always had good luck at the old Kaos. I met some great guys there. One of my longest BF's in LOS I met at Krazy Dragon and I am still friends with him and still absolutely adore him. He was great and I still have fond memories of the old sleezy Krazy JO contests. :)

Those are the bars where I have the most luck at. They are not necessarily my favorite bars as I tend to like a Cabaret like show and have a good time.

For me, it's very hard to say. These boys change bars regularly, so there is a good chance that a bar you enjoyed during one trip may be quite different the next time you're in Thailand. I'm guessing you're talking about go-go bars rather than beer bars.

To answer your question, you would need to visit every one of the bars. I don't know how many people do that and, of course, everyone has his own ideas of what is or is not enjoyable. On another thread I've been talking about Euro Boys, which is my current favorite. However, that doesn't mean that a few weeks from now there won't be a new favorite. For a long time Happy Bar was my favorite. Meanwhile, now it's been close to a year since the last time I was even in there.

I like Euro Boys because most of the boys there are my type and they all seem to have a lot of fun and enjoy dancing as opposed to the 'one-knee shuffle.' But in my case, after I've been to my favorite enough times I tend to get bored and start checking out other bars.

I can much more easily tell you the bars I dislike and don't enjoy. Those are the bars that charge outrageously compared to other bars, where few or even none of the boys are my type, where their idea of a show is lip-synching and drag, where the mama-sans are aggressive and pushy, and where the dancers look and act bored out of their skulls and their dancing consists of that dreaded 'one-knee shuffle.'

By the way, I hate the fuck shows. I may be completely alone in that. I usually don't like bar shows of any kind in the first place. I just don't enjoy them. I may be alone in that too.

I don't think there are currently any fuck shows in Pattaya, but there are some in Bangkok. I won't stick around for a fuck show and if I know a bar presents that kind of a show I won't go in at all.

I also don't care for the bars at which boys dance completely naked or 'whip it out' and start masturbating. Once again, I may also be alone in that. For me, a boy dancing in briefs is much more sexy and stimulating than a boy dancing naked and I don't like watching boys masturbating for an audience.

You know, until I wrote this post I didn't realize that I'm such a prude . . .

GB, I agree with you about the in your face bars where there's little point in taking a guy off since you've seen everything on offer on stage. I'm certainly no prude (I don't think), but I find myself slightly ill at ease when sitting in a bar and a guy on a table top comes over, squats in front of me, and starts working up his erection inches in front of my face.

I most enjoyed the old style bars like Charlie bar where the guys "danced" close enough to you that some private flirting was possible, but they were still far enough away that you could pretend not to notice. I suppose there are still some like that around, but most bars now seem designed to put the guys on impersonal display and we customers are much like browsers in a buffet line. I miss the more personal atmosphere that used to be found in most places.

I'm with you there although I'm more than "slightly" ill at ease over it. On my first trip to the re-opened Adam's Apple here in CM this past November, I sat at the little tables next to the stage and endured a couple of the dancers leaning on the pole and poking Mr. Happy too damn close to my face. I've returned since then and made sure that I sat back against the wall, assuring adequate distance between myself and the swinging sausage show.

seems more like another history-recall here: for me that would be Midnight Cowboy-closed some 15 years ago, in Sapan Kwai/BKK, when it was led by that elder Singapore gentleman.

In general bars that ''allow'' more easy interacting between customer and boy-without directly being pressured into buying him a 250 bt. drink.

The early time Sunee-Pattaya open air bars, when drinks were like 20 bt.

If it's a guy I really like then it's OK. But if I don't like the guy it's repulsive.

Most guys who do this are the tatooed muscle boy type and the guys I like almost never do this.

"Enjoyable" covers a lot of ground. For me it is Paradise Bar in Sunnee. And I have never offed one of those boys.

Ohhhhh, I'm sorry. I thought you liked me. Ok, I won't do it again . . .

(But you were so sexy, I just couldn't control myself)

Now come on, GB, it's no big thing. And it'd certainly never stand up in court.

Touché!! The truth does hurt! I'm lucky to get it to stand up anywhere at all. Even when I succeed, those unfortunate enough to witness the horrid event keep asking if I have been robbed. For some reason, they also keep asking if I can lend them a magnifying glass.

It's really not that difficult to get the guys to move on before they start to bug you. A smile, a shaking of the head, along with a bye-bye wave of the hand will make them realise you're not going to part with cash. They'll disappear quickly and give you a miss on their next rotations.

Reading the topic title "What bar do you find the most enjoyable guys at?"

and then reading all your replies ... one could get the impression that there are no bars other than gogo bars and no boys except rent-boys in the whole of Thailand!

I've never had a bar I thought was providing everything I want. I went through stages of this bar or that. I settled, not because of the 'boys' but because of the atmosphere, and because I made friends.... yes not short time acquaintances.

You mean there are others . . . ?

The question for this topic was exactly what you posted. Those who have thus far responded apparently find their most enjoyable guys at go-go bars with rent boys. If others find their most enjoyable boys at other types of bars with other types of boys, they certainly are welcome to post on this thread too.

The question referred to bars. For me, the boys I enjoy most have nothing to do with the bar scene at all, but that wasn't the question.

For me, a beer bar is place to hang out with farangs, while a gogo to look or sit with Thai guys.

But if there is a boy you like a beer bar then the atmosphere there is more conducive to conversation with him.

Btw-Even though Thai guys in their twenties are commonly referred to as boys, I suppose it's better to use the word guys so that there is no misunderstanding.

Many agree with you, but I don't. I don't think anyone misunderstands. Also, the boys refer to themselves as boys, even into their 30's. They do so verbally and in writing. Just look at Gay Romeo profiles.

I have no problem with anyone who prefers to call them 'guys,' but I also have no problem with anyone who prefers to call them 'boys.'

'Guys,' 'boys,' 'men' . . . what difference does it make? I realize that some people think referring to them as 'boys' suggests an implication of under-age or pedophiles. I disagree with that interpretation.

For a drink and to relax come in bar & memories music bar - all the guys are fun and trustworthy.

For one night fun - Funny boys or Funny boys.

Agree with you Astrrro. For the beer bars it is chat with farang and gogo with Thai. At beer bars really do not like to be pestered by the freelancers although I sometimes take a liking to a Thai guy and then I start to lose my concentration.
