Guest DOM Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Seems credible and understandable to me. English isn't my first language either, and I am prone to reversing things. Many guys are depressed. Drinking and depression often go hand in hand. Being ashamed of being gay and or of resorting to paid sex companions is also not rare. Sad yes, so depressed. Quote
ChristianPFC Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 I find this post quite usefull, although I don't have the problems described. When I went to Thailand for the first time three months ago, I lurked around in Soi Pratuchai for four days (looking through open doors from the middle of the road or letting touts grab my arm and pull me up to the door of the bar), not sure if I should enter or not. But finally, I went in and watched the shows. Quote
Gaybutton Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 But finally, I went in and watched the shows. I hope you felt more confident once you overcame your anxiety. I don't think it was a lack of confidence in and of itself. The fact that you were in a foreign country, where you neither speak nor understand the language, and being unsure of what to expect in new and unfamiliar surroundings, probably played a part in the cause of your anxiety.
