The walk of shame

I was in Jimmy James bar when the mamasan was desperately trying to get me to off a boy,he was the same one who used to be mamasan in the old CITYBOYS in Boyztown area a few years ago.

He once accused me of killing his cat,i dont know why,but he approached me in the Friendship supermarket back in 2005 and asked me if i had killed his cat?

Anyway a few years later in 2009 i went into Jimmy James and there he was,his face went white when he saw me and mine vice versa.

Anyway he eventually approached me with caution and started trying to get me to off a boy.

He remembered me by looking at me continually then spoke about his cat which i ignored.

He then told me that he would arrange a boy to come to my place where i was staying as many farang do not like walking thru the streets with their off boy.

Well it didnt concern me as i was definetely not offing underage or boyish looking guys but rather the guys late 20 s early 30 s which i prefer.

However,it did dawn on me that such a service would suit many farang.

Do you ever get embarrassed at walking, say thru Sunee Plaza, with a boy you just offed.

He the mamasan kept insisting on this "service",however i declined as i wasnt offing a boy anyway.

Whether he just wanted to find out where i was living because he thought i murdered his cat back in 2004 I dont know why, never knew he had one.

Anyway as i was leaving and walking outside the mamasan was sitting with the jovial owner and the mamasan was shouting something in thai in a distressed way and they both looked at me as i quickly scurried off with my head down, dont know what he said, probaly."there goes the cat murderer"

I know of a guy who wont stay in a guesthouse because he was very embarrssed to walk thru the coffee shop to get up to his room with a prostitute.

I suppose same with the baht buses, this can be a problem and I had this when offing a boy from Jomtiem one night having 2 drunken european hooligans trying to pick a fight with us both.

I know CARTIER boys do have a service to come to your room.

Sometimes it can even be a bit embarrassing seeing farangs staring at you as you walk with a off boy thru sunee plaza back to your room.

Does this bother you or you dont give a toss?

If someone isn't paying my bills (which no one does), I don't give a fuck what they think.

I definitely agree with lvdkeyes. I can't imagine why anyone should be embarrassed. Isn't that the reason for going to Sunee Plaza in the first place? To my mind, if anyone is going to be embarrassed it ought to be the ones who don't have a boy with them. If they find a boy they like, and aren't too cheap to take him off, they're going make the same walk. Also, why should you be embarrassed about some strangers staring at you? They're in Sunee Plaza too and I guarantee you they didn't go to Sunee to sit there admiring the architecture.

What on earth makes you think anyone would even be paying any attention? Do you think you're the only one who takes boys off?

If it bothers you that much, give the boy money for a motorcycle taxi and tell him to go to your hotel and you'll meet him there.

I do not like to walk anywhere with a boy who I offed especially in Sunee Plaza. Always give them money for a motorbike taxi. Everybody is looking at you and taking note which is exactly what I do when sitting and watching the scene.

Years ago I asked a friend who happened to be Resident Manager of The Oriental what the hotel's policy was with boys or ladies of the night being admitted to rooms. He said it was against hotel regulations, but they accepted that it does happen and sometimes they can not stop it. The general rule of thumb was: provided the hotel guest and his temporary partner were dressed reasonably well, they would not be stopped by security. If the partners were dressed as though they'd come straight from a downmarket disco or bar - i.e. pretty scruffy rather than pleasantly casual - they would be stopped and asked to leave unless they could prove they were officially registered guests.

So what? I fail to understand why you would care whether they're looking or not. What's the embarrassing part? Even when you're the one doing the looking, are you still thinking about them 5 minutes later? Personally, I have better things to think about, such as the boys I wish I was walking with.

As for me, I couldn't care less. If anyone really wants to look at me walking with a boy and take note, fine with me. They can also take note of the fact that I'm the one on my way to wherever with a boy while they're taking note of the fact that they've got nothing.

I can be the one walking with a boy or I can be the one sitting and watching somebody else walking with a boy. Guess which of the two I would rather be . . .

What makes you think people are looking at you? Did you consider that they may be looking at the boy?

I understand how you feel.

Thats why i dont like staying in guesthouses where you see them peering at you and the boy as you walk thru the coffee shop area.

No. Why? Already was walking with 3 offs at same time to my hotel. I dont care about... i dont live there. Funny views at reception to take 3 id-cards at same time

Are you guys kidding? If you are so easily embarrassed by doing precisely what so many farang come here to do, then why do you come here at all? If you're being serious, and I'm beginning to have my doubts, then you've definitely made it to my "I Don't Get It" list.

I could understand your embarrassment if you were suddenly and unexpectedly embraced and kissed by a boy during the middle of a Women's Christian Temperance Union meeting, but you're embarrassed from doing the same thing everyone else comes here to do, or wishes they were here doing?

And lvdkeyes makes an excellent point. What makes you so sure they're staring at you? It's much more likely they're looking at the boy.

Let me see if I have this correct. Some of you are going to spend a large amount of money for the airfare and additional transportation to come to Pattaya. You're going to endure the long haul flight getting here and another one returning home. You're going to stay in a nice gay-oriented hotel. Then you're going to spend more time and money going to the bars and buying at least one drink. And then you're going to sit there by yourself instead of taking any boys off because you're ashamed and embarrassed because a few strangers, who came here themselves to take boys off, are going to look at you. Is that about right?

Why am I getting the feeling that these embarrassment posts are a hoax? But if you're truly serious, then my advice is to spend your money, which will be a lot less than a trip to Thailand, for memberships on porn sites and masturbate to the videos. Better still, just go to X-tube and look at gay porn for free. You'll save yourself all that terrible embarrassment and save yourself a lot of money too.

Meanwhile I, and probably the vast majority of visitors to this message board, will take off any boy we damned well please (as long as he is at least 18 years old), with no embarrassment whatsoever and without giving a damn whether anyone looking at us likes it or not. If you're here, I, for one, will be happy to walk right by you as you sit there staring at us.

Again, given the choice of being the one walking down Sunee Plaza on my way to have a great time with the boy I took off or sitting and staring at others, but embarrassed to take a boy myself, guess which one I'll choose.

There are some things in life that just may be worth a few moments of embarrassment.

I have to agree with GB on this. I do admit that I am such a slutterfly, I positively flaunt the fact that I have a guy with me. I don't change my routine even when I am with other family members in Thailand. If they don't like it, they don't have to walk with me - or stay in the same hotel as I do. Having said that, however, I must also admit that while some member of my family who do live in BKK don't even want me to come to their house, others have been quite friendly with some of the guys I offed - to the extent of inviting them to join us for supper.

If you're ashamed to be seen with a "boy" because you paid for him, think what he must feel to be seen with you, knowing that everyone who sees you both knows that he was paid for by you!

I revel in my grey hair and I would pity the boy more for having to walk into my hotel with me knowing that his friends (and probably one or two relatives of his) have probably seen him going off to a paid assignation with a much older man.

I know this is the "night life area' of LOS we are talking about but I really wouldn't mind if he asked to meet up separately because he was embarrassed to be seen with me.

PS

Paid assignation. Rendezvous by reservation. Lady (or in this case, gentleman) of the evening...don't you just love the way the old world put things like that?

Once upon a time I offed a butch boy from a go go bar and he came out wearing a dress! I about died on the spot. No, I did not want to be seen with him, at all. But some guys do go for the lady boy look but not me. I faked a headache and gave her a good tip and a sendoff.

Otherwise I do have a thai bf and I don't like to advertise my dalliances to other Thais and farang to avoid the word getting back to him. Yes, he knows but really doesn't want to "KNOW". Not a question of flaunting or hiding, just a matter of discretion.

Did you send him back because you did not realize he was a lady-boy and you don't like lady-boys or did you send him back because you would have been embarrassed? There's a difference. Lady-boys do not tend to look butch, so if that is really what happened, then that was an unusual circumstance.

I am not at all embaressed at walking through Sunnee with company or even returning to the guesthouse. The place is called "Two Guys" after all. Perhaps I should try to return with two guys from the bar, rather than one.

On the first visit to Pattaya, I stayed at The Ambiance & had to walk along the raised veranda area with my boy, as the whole street was filled with people sat down on chairs watching a show set up on stage. Well, over 50% of them seemed to be more interested in admiring my latest catch. Shows I have taste!

I am a little conscious of the stares from other tourists in places like BKK or when walking between Boyztown & Sunee. The black looks are mostly from females, probably the fat useless ones who feel they have useful role in life if all the males go after Thai boys.

I do not have any problem to walk with boy. And more important that I never met people in Pattaya who have problem with me. All farang in Pattaya go here for relax and they have girl or (and?) boy. Last time my boy asked me to walk hand in hand in Walking Street. First it was somewhat difficult for me. He said to me, "You shy?" I said "yes" but that was over after short time.. No one noticed us..... For that reason I like Pattaya so much...

When I saw him on stage he looked like a boy-boy ( I was more naive at that time) but after I saw his transformation to a lady-boy I developed my headache. We did walk as far as my room which was next to the go go bar and that seemed an eternity. Sent him back because he was not my type.

But now am gun shy of walking with any "offs".

I do walk with other Thai guys I know with no hesitation (other than getting caught by the bf) but do not like the hands holding routine.

Only reason I can see for someone to be embarrassed is if they are taking an underage boy off, otherwise, "no probrem!" One reason, like staying at the Mik Hotel, is that the desk staff there are much better at examining ID cards. They saved me potential trouble from fake IDs a couple of times. Although the idea of taking 3 boys at once sounds intriguing :)

If I offed a boy who I thought looked butch and he came out of the dressing room in a dress, I would have told him right then that I was sorry, but I was not interested in lady boys, given him a tip and left the bar alone.

If you got other than what you bargained for would be a good enough reason to leave.

If anyone truly does have a problem about walking with a boy, then to me the solution is very simple. Have the boy meet you at your hotel. If necessary give him money for a motorcycle taxi. Don't worry. He'll show up. He wants his tip.
