Having never been to Bali, I can't personally provide any information. Perhaps others will respond. In the meantime, do a Google search for Gay Bali and several web sites will pop up. You can also do searches on the various gay Thailand web sites.

I actually met a Australian guy last year in Jomtiem who loved Bali more than Pattaya.

He stayed at a Gay Resort and was a 5 star gay resort with Balinese massage boys and waiters etc.

I do forget the name but according to him it was cheaper prices for boys

I guess google Gay Bali for more info and try to post on here if you get more info as I always wanted to try to stay at this resort.

Also they say going out of KUTA BEACH is good for boys.

I think SHAMELESSMACK also has stories on his website re Gay Indonesia.

many thanks for your usefull information. What hotel did you stay? The pool looks very nice. Was it a gay hotel or gayfriendly. I Thinks most hotels will be gayfriendly and will not make any problem when you have a male visitor.

I dont know if there is a best gay place but i prefer locations near the gaybars.

Bali it is Dhyanapura street. Gay beach is from Oberoi Hotel till near the Petitenget Temple and La Lucciola Restaurant. To the gaybars i walked around 8 min. to the gaybeach 25 min. There is also action at the beach in the bushes but because of the near ricefields happy fun with millions of mosquitos. The action in the bars started very late. I liked Q Bar. Near the Bali Padma Hotel you can find the Hulucafe with shows but their homepage is down again. 3 times boys from GR have been coming to my hotel >> good and cheap fun.Next time i would never again go there in january but in june till september.

Spartacvs is a good place to stay (Google it). It is clothing optional and obviously men only. 12 rooms and 24 staff (only ~5 are gay). Very friendly (all staff are great) and in a good position near the gay beach, Calego. You can bring anyone back but the security will check ID's so behave. All the normal - pool, bar, restaurant.

Nightife - Mixwells, Bali Joe and Face Bar are literally three bars next to each other. They are all a short cab ride from Spartacvs. There is a mixture of tourists (many mixed straights dancing away), gay guys, couples, money boys and guys just looking for friends. The latter say that they are not money boys BUT if they go to your room they may ask for some "petrol money" - hey everyone has to make a living OK?

Massage - a new massage place called Banana Spa has opened and is all male. Not many Spa's in Bali offer ++ but Banana gives you a nice feeling - if you know what I mean. Just rib the guys leg or ass as he massages you and he will get the message....no need for words! M Spa (at Pauls Place) I found a bit expensive and they guys can be a bit pushy - but what the hell; if you are after a 'sexy' massage they will oblige. Bonita, Antique and Aromas, whist all good, i have found to be professional massage only. All depends on what you are looking for.

The gay area is north of Kuta Beach in Seminyak.

A friend of mine has been to the Banana Spa and highly recommends it. Here is the link, http://www.bananaspabali.com/
