I was quite pleased with the Rendezvous. Excelllent value and a minutes walk to the gay bars.

Low floor is better as there is no lift and reccomend Superior Room as the Standard is smallish.

I also can recommend Rendez-Vous Hotel. Stayed 3 times there.

Pricelist and some pictures >>> http://www.boontarika.com/

Look under "Our Hotel". I mostly used the suite and the deluxe room.No problems with visitors.Breakfast was good and cheap. Some pictures from the complex and deluxe room.

What's the nightime noise like there?

I stayed 2 streets up, directly opposite Tangmo & the disco seemed to go on until about 4:00 am @ a level which was very audible in my room.

During my stay there was no problem with noise but it was 2006 last time. I dont know if any karaoke was changing or not.

Stayed once in Connect but never again. Could not sleep before 3 or 4am.

I would choose Club One Seven if I were staying in Phuket (In the ineterest of full disclosure, I used to have a financial interest in this hotel, buy have divested it to a home in Ubon Rathchatani). It's only minor negative is it's location in relation to the Paradise complex, but the distance is short enough to be comfortable. Also the current location is much quieter than the major hotel areas for sleeping.

They have a great pool/garden area, bar service, happy hour, etc. The staff is excellent and very friendly and helpful. The manager, Daniel, speaks several languages (including English) and is very helpful in any needs you might have while in Phuket.
