Guest njjim Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 On the spur of the moment, I decided I needed to get away from Pattaya, so spent a 3 day weekend in Bangkok. I have heard Pinnacle Lumpini mention many times over the years, but never stayed there. Booking through Agoda, it was very cheap -$30/night incl tax and breakfast. Wasn't really expecting too much, but was pleasantly surprised. It is obviously an older hotel, but has been mostly updated. I had a deluxe room on the 13th floor - nice view. The room was small, but clean and comfy - had a safe, mini bar, coffee/tea, decent cable (better English channels than Sophon). There is a nice little pool and lounge area on the top floor. Breakfast is a decent spread, but not really kept warm enough for my taste, but enough to get me going in the morning. It is about 5 minute walk from Lumpini MRT and Suan Lum Night Bazaar, Vincents is almost next door, Babylon maybe a 15 minute walk, 7/11 on the corner - but nothing else nearby, so be prepared to take a taxi or the MRT. PLEASE NOTE - according to the info in the room - there is a 550B charge for visitors. I didn't test the policy, so have no idea how strictly it is enforced. All in all, if you don't expect luxury and don't mind using the MRT - it is a decent, reasonably priced hotel. Quote

Actually they have had a joiner fee for years, but as far as I know they have never enforced it. They never asked me to pay a joiner fee. When booking a room through Jimmy. his recommendation is to book a room for two. That way they can't charge a joiner fee. Quote

Yes your right again, No Joiners, mainly if you waltz around the reception, when you cum back with your trade for the night and if you book double as GB says, if you go to the Roof at night, your meet a naughty surprise, Crusing around the pool area after 11 pm http://www.pinnaclehotels.com/lumpinee/photo.html Don't tell any one I told you though Quote
