TotallyOz Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 We are looking to have a party. Any suggestions on where, when? Want to have a bar crawl? An early morning breakfast? A sit down affair? Quote
KhorTose Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Yes, somewhere close to ting&tong party on the 12th. Why? So people from the North and Bangkok do not have have to make a special trip to go to the Party. I would be glad to come early or stay late and make both parties. Better yet, have you considered combining the parties? Quote
PattayaMale Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 My suggestion would be to have a party around 5, 6, or 7 pm and on a Saturday. People would then be able to go out after we had some drinks together. A fairly new bar is Ganymede in Jomtien Complex. It is good size host bar. The owner is very nice. Some finger food could easily be arranged and could substitute for a dinner. (Cafe Royale did a nice job for Allen's Celebration) I am not suggesting that Cafe Royale should do it. Just giving reference to that type of finger food. The time would allow people from Bangkok to get to Pattaya. I think having our own party without combining events is best. Ting Tong board should do their event which is a bit of a fundraiser (optional), I believe. If an event is too big, people don't really mingle. The breakfast we had for the vacation draw allowed people to meet new people. The purpose of a board party seems to be to allow members to get to know each other better. Combining events looses the uniqueness of each board. Also, maybe GT would want to "import" some Thais guys as additional "hosts" from Bangkok. GB knows what circle in Bangkok to contact some and GT knows the malls there, .....what would be more inviting? Quote
lexusgs Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 This sounds like a great idea. I' a bit of a lurker on this board. Have been in Pattaya now for 5 months on and off. Would be great to meet you guys face to face as soon as possible. Why don't you ask one of the bars to do a private party for one night? I'd chip in no problem. Or if you want to get really daring rent out the VIP section in NAB club. That would be an interesting experience Quote
Guest Astrrro Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Lots of late risers here so mornings could be problematic. And please not on October 10th, when there's a ladyboy volleyball competition in the afternoon and a pool party that night. Quote
Guest Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Better yet, have you considered combining the parties? We won't have them that close together. I am also thinking about doing this in Bangkok as opposed to Pattaya this time. If an event is too big, people don't really mingle. The breakfast we had for the vacation draw allowed people to meet new people. Agree with that. Or if you want to get really daring rent out the VIP section in NAB club. That would be an interesting experience I am daring. But, would many show up at a late night function? I know I could fill the place up with Thai guys. But, how many posters would actually go to a late night affair? And please not on October 10th, when there's a ladyboy volleyball competition in the afternoon and a pool party that night. It will not be on the 10th because if I am in LOS then, I'll join you at the pool party! Quote
Guest HeyGay Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 That's easy go to the Molum Restaurant opposite nearly the Soi at the end of the side of Ole restaurant, on 3rd road, Cheap drinks, great cheap food and nice boys, you can off on stage, dancing, use to be on corner of third road and South pattaya Road. Or go to similar Thai outside restaurant, on a day they have a Molum show on Third road, your have a Ball with 150 on the stage in traditional costumes and all the wonderful eye candy in the audience, mainly up the front dancing, best place to meet a nice down to earth boy. Builder, Hotel worker all sorts, many cant speak english then your know they are fresh and you can have fun teaching and talking with your eyes and actions Quote
