Guest lvdkeyes Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 My bf and I just came back from dinner at a relatively new restaurant, Alois, on Thrappaya Rd near Pratamnak Rd. The ambiance, friendly service and superb food put this restaurant very high on my list of exceptional places to eat in Pattaya. My bf had Frog Legs Provencal for starter and Rock Lobster with Squid Ink Pasta and Saffron Sauce for main course. He had the Apple Strudel with Vanilla Ice Cream for dessert. I had a Caesar Salad for starter and Australian Beef Stroganoff with Spaetzles and turned Baby Vegetable stuffed in a Van Dyked Tomato for main course. My dessert was mini Phyllo cups with Apple Mousse with tiny cubes of apple and Vanilla Ice Cream surrounded by Chocolate Sauce circles filled with Fruit Coulis. We had Amuse Bouche of a small Shrimp cake and a Mango/Lime Sorbet for palate cleanser. I had coffee and we both had water to drink. No service charge or tax is added. Total bill was 1650 baht. Not cheap, but not outrageous either. It is certainly a must try if you want an excellent dining experience. Quote
