KhorTose Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 My guess it is the old Doi Boy bar for sale. Quote
Guest buckeroo2 Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Not is Doi Boy Reminds me of "How do you end up with a small fortune in Thailand? - Buy a bar with a large fortune. I think there must be at least a dozen gay bars that have closed just this low season and are for sale here in Pattaya - no need to relocate. Quote
Guest lester1 Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 I am always very confused by the way bars are sold in Thailand. As I see it, I would have to pay 3 million baht (about £60000) to buy the business and then pay rent of 20000baht per month on top. The 3 million would not actually mean I would own anything apart from presumably fixtures, fittings and stock.I would only be paying for the 'name' of the business, its reputation and customer base. What would happen if I went to the landlord and said something like ' if there is only a few months to go on the current contract, I would be prepared to pay you 30,000 baht per month rent if you changed to me. You could then use the 3 million baht you save to start up something from scratch. Of course, in this case the club owner might also be the landlord of the whole block, but this would be a rare situation in most areas. It just strikes me that the 3 million baht is actually for something very intangible. Quote

You would also be buying the licences I presume. Quote
Guest Raykrab Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 for detail of selling : Price : 3,000,000 Baht for business ( and pay for rent 20,000 baht/month) It's mean , you can to be the owner of anything apart from presumably fixtures, fittings, stock ,the 'name' of the business and customer base. But 20,000 baht for rent: it to be for rent a building of this business. Not for anorther things. And we will to do a lease of building. We can talk about of how many year for rent and issue it in lease. 3 million baht :for business and every things in bar but not buiding. If in the future you want to move it and change location of bar,you can take its out. 8 million baht :for all ( business and buiding ) in the next time you can sale it all or rent with anorther one. thank you for every comment. Guest luvthai Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 Seems to me it would be cheaper to find a good location and rent an empty building. I am sure you could outfit the bar for a million baht and the license surely would not cost 2 million baht. I don't see where or what you are paying 3 million baht for. Quote

In Chiangmai not like Pataya or bangkok : not every place or building can to make gay bar. And in chiangmai not easy to present your bar.Now many new and old bars finish all-ready,becouse location not good and don't know about Chiangmai city plan, custommer's need and people's life in Chiangmai. Example: Are you hear? in Chiangmai have gar bar(shows) rode or soi.....not have now . So if you want to make it ,you must to know Chiangmai city at more. Not easy sure! Quote

Hay Ray why didn't you tell us it was the "Free Guy" bar or give us this ad in Thaivisa: http://classifieds.t...sale-19191.html I will be completely honest with you. I have only been in your bar once to see the show and I do not remember it looking as nice as the pictures show it to be. I also think you are asking way to much money, both for the bar and the rent. I wish you the best of luck anyway. Quote
