Guest Jason105 Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 One of the most widely read blogs in the US, the Huffington Post, has an article about the top ten places in the world to retire. Thailand is ranked number 7. With all the negative press and horror stories making the rounds on the internet, it is reassuring to see that the benefits still outnumber the challenges. For those that would like to read it: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/07/29/top-countries-to-retire-t_n_246540.html Every place has its downside but when seen in comparison with the rest of the world Thailand has not lost its attraction. all the best Quote
Guest Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 Interesting choices for sure. I was surprised they didn't give more detail in the report. I could only find short little paragraphs about each country and not much reason given. Did I miss the full article? And, where was Brazil and Mexico on this list? Quote
Guest lvdkeyes Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 In that report Thailand is ranked 9, not 7 and Mexico is ranked 3. Brazil is not mentioned. Quote
fedssocr Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 The ranking are constantly changing because they are based on votes by the people visiting the site not any sort of objective criteria. Quote
