We marveled at how these young men could get their bodies nearly horizontal to return the ball. Turned out to be one of the unexpected pleasures of the visit.

Before this, you'd never had the unexpected pleasure of seeing Thai young men in a horizontal position? 😇

Quite right that the price of a drink is to cover an entry price.
I haven't been to these bars for ages but I seem to recall that in some bars, subsequent drink prices were lower than the first drink.

They don't this practice anymore.

thank you!! i am afraid that it will be weird if i were to visit the gogoboy bar alone haha

If you're nervous about going there alone, maybe try the bigger bars first (e.g. Jupiter, Moonlight) as the gogo boys won't be too focused on you, and ease your way to the other more intimate bars.

Usually there r many expats or tourists around. M sure at least of them r friendly. U can share ur visiting dates and ask for company.....

always good idea but as one who bar-hopped with probably two dozen of our members if not more I want add that when asking for company it's still good to have idea where we want to go instead of only relying on somebody else's suggestion.

I recall  at least two situations when new visitor asked me to join them for bar survey, when I asked about preference they said ' doesn't matter ' so me being me,  took them to Tawan from where they almost run away screaming as boys there were not of the  type they liked

I recall following you inside Tawan one night after we left the New Twilight bar. When I saw you immediately sandwiched between two bodybuilders I politely took my leave in quick order and headed for the familiar environs of Screw Boy. 🙂

you are not included in those two who run away screaming ( ok, almost screamed but run away indeed)

I vividly remember my first time in a gogo bar.

I was wandering around patpong market when a tout approached me and offered to take me to a girlie bar. When I said I was gay he took me over to a bar in Soi Twilight.

As soon as I walked in, a very handsome guy with a hot body, wearing a small pair of briefs, came walking towards me, clutching his substantial bulge.

I thought I'd died and gone to heaven.

And then the fuck show began. OMG!! I'd seen lots of fuck shows in Japan but never a Thai-style acrobatic one. Incredible!

I'm very comfortable walking into a bar alone. I can't see why anyone would have a problem with that.

Nor I....but I found being the only customer in a bar- which made me the performer and the guys my audience- very off-putting. If the mamasan was standing outside  and I was about to enter, a sure sign that something was amiss would be when started to clap to warn the dancers- who were sitting down in an empty bar- to stand-up.

I'd get out PDQ!

I never like being the only customer in a gay bar, particularly a Gogo. Of course from the outside you generally can’t check the interior. My thoughts are that no customers signals that the bar is not worth a visit maybe due to unattractive boys, expensive drinks, too loud music etc etc

Imagine coming from a small village, going to BKK and doing it in your underwear or part of a sex/fuck show 😲

It all depends on the guy, of course.

My regular guy in Pattaya who I've spent the majority of my holidays with is actually quite shy in person. He is softly spoken and very polite.

But when working in Eros he let it all hang out and was anything but shy. Same, same in bed.

He started off at Happy Boys and was very uncomfortable baring his arse for all to see. He wanted to go back home but his friend there told him to hang in there, and he soon got used to it and just treated it as a job.

His attitude to sex in general reflects a common Thai attitude - it's no big deal. No need to be hung up about it. And if you're far from home, just go for it, especially if you're a handsome guy with a big cock.

This attitude ran in the family - his younger brother worked with him in Eros and his sister worked in Walking Street. I think she found a farang to "take care of"  her.

And as shy as he is, he made at least 1 gay porn movie when he was 18.

I'm a 32-year-old residing on the sunny island of Singapore in Southeast Asia. I'm considering a trip to Bangkok in April.

I'd be interested in arranging a meet-up to visit a gogoboys bar together (I'm a bit hesitant to go alone), or we could also grab lunch or dinner together. I'm eager to gain insight into the gogoboys bar culture, including the dos and don'ts.

I'll be in Bangkok from 9 to 11 April.
