Guest Astrrro Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Where do you guys go for shoe/sneaker/sandal repair in Pattaya? Shoemaker in the USA just quoted ridicuclous prices for a cheap sandal and what appears to be a extremely minor sneaker repair. Quote

I've never used it, but there is a shoe repair shop on Second Road, toward the beach just past the Second Road-Pattaya Tai traffic light. Quote

Any more stupid questions? Quote
Guest Astrrro Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Should have said old sandal not cheap sandal. They were actually quite expensive and I like them allot. But since they're old I could throw them out. When I was in Pattaya I was going to buy some new ones and just could never find ones I liked and the European sizes confuse me too. Maybe I'll buy another expensive pair here in the States. Probably the top brands that are good for your feet are just as expensive in Thailand. The sneakers have lots of life in them and they won't get thrown out. It looks like it could be Crazy Glued. The shoemaker I asked quoted the same price for what appeard tobe a complicated sandal repair and a quick an easy sneaker repair and I didn't like the guy either. Quote
Guest buckeroo2 Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 In Pattaya Tai - go to South Pattaya Rd/Second Rd. At the traffic light walk on South Pattaya Rd in the direction of Wat Chai - on the corner of South Pattaya Rd/2nd Rd is a tailor - then as you walk South Pattaya Rd on same side of the soi and in the direction of Wat Chai you will see a small Thai restaurant, followed by a massage establishment and then a shoe repair shop - more like a hole in the wall business. The guy speaks decent English - I have had tennis shoes crazy glued and soles replaced, etc. Most minor jobs cost me 100 baht and can be picked up the following day. Hope this helps. Quote
