Gaybutton Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Merely your comments on a number of these issues, including one on the duvet site I believe on that thread I said people can ask questions without fear of being put down by other posters. I don't think I said anything about on which forum the questions have to appear. It doesn't matter to me one way or the other. GT reads this forum every day and he'll see these posts. It's entirely his decision. I have nothing to do with that aspect of decision making on this board. I have no access to any of the board programming. Considering that you gents are saying that's what you want, I'm sure GT take it seriously. If he does decide to go with your ideas, I just hope everyone will cooperate so that I don't end up having to spend time moving posts from forum to forum. Quote
Guest fountainhall Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 I thought that was what the Beer Bar was intended for My understanding is that, technically, you are correct. However, The Beer Bar does not concentrate just on Thailand, and the recent queries have all been related to problem-solving of issues that are specifically more of a household nature re living in Thailand. As PattayaMale suggested, having these in one place should make it easier for reference in future. I do accept that if such a section is introduced, a number of other non-gay related topics might fall more naturally into it - e.g. restaurant reviews, entertainment notices (Pattaya Players, concert outings) etc. So I can see the pitfalls as well as the benefits. Guest lvdkeyes Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Maybe I am way off base, but I thought GAY THAILAND was for gay info in Thailand, GAY ASIA was for gay info in the rest of Asia and BEER BAR was for all other info. Would GT, GB or Stef please clarify this? Quote
Gaybutton Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Would GT, GB or Stef please clarify this? I don't think we're absolutely rigid about it. Most of the time, if it has something to do with Thailand, it winds up in the Gay Thailand forum. I'll often move a post if it is obviously appropriate in one of the other forums. If it's not so obvious, I usually leave it alone. Until these posts started making an issue of it, I didn't think it was bothering anyone. I don't recall complaints about it before. Now all of a sudden a post appeared about it and everybody seems to be jumping on the bandwagon. As I said, it doesn't matter to me one way or another. If that's what everyone wants, it's certainly fine with me. It's entirely GT's decision as to whether he wants to create another forum to accommodate posts about Thailand that don't have much to do with gay aspects of Thailand. Quote
Guest lvdkeyes Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 IMHO Leave it as it is. I use a food forum and they have about 12 forums and things are forever being posted in the wrong forum. The more forums, the more complicated it gets. Quote

It would be nice as a service you, can you have a page where you can get any gay guy together to buy or sell their flee market items. as with "Craig's List" type of classified sales list to be introduce to buyers, would that work on your site MR.GT, I bet it would create a lot more viewers and a wonderful mine of information for your readers. http://bangkok.craigslist.co.th/ Quote
