Shax Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Hey guys, Just wanted to get some thoughts on your preference between these two countries, especially in the context of gay scene, escort scene, nature and touristic sites. Just a bit of background: i'm a southeast asian guy in mid-30s, relatively fit. I've never been to South America before, so I'm planning a trip there sometime later this year. From what I've read, these 2 countries have quite a good gay scene, plenty of escorts and a variety of touristic things to do. Just wanted to get some insights from the members here. I'm a bottom, and unfortunately I don't speak Spanish or Portuguese 😅. I'd like to think that Google translate would be of help when travelling to those destinations, but happy to hear your thoughts on the language barrier. Quote

Both places considered dangerous compared to Asia..... Brasil will be a good start, Colombia is good too, Brasil more easy to shop and use translate in the sauna, my opinion vinapu 1 Quote
Chucky Posted February 25 Posted February 25 I have visited both countries in the last couple of years, mostly from a tourist angle, with the bonus of the fabulous men. In my honest opinion Colombia has slightly more to offer destinations wise, with a great choice of beaches, cities and countryside. However Brazil definitely wins for me, with regard to the sauna scene, and "top" guys with good options in most of their big cities. I'm visiting both countries this summer again, and am happy to answer more specific questions on DM. Barra 1 Quote
Members trzinko Posted February 26 Members Posted February 26 i am exactly the opposite. i think that Brasil is better. or let's say, you can compare boys in both countries. same quality and easy aproach. however, from tourist point brazil is much reacher. i love their beaches. salvador, manaus or iguacu falls are better then cartagena, bogota, santa marta, medellin and tayrona park. i have not been to cali. it is on my to do list. My good friend said if I go to Colombia, he'd try to go or I go alone to Santo Domingo....decisions, decisions. I get industry rates at Hilton branded hotels....in SDQ they're about 15 mins outside of the colonial zone in BOG- located all over.... This is for the end of April.. Change of plans....I got hooked on Colombia webcam sites....going to Bogota and Medellin with 1 night in Panama on my way to the US. Got a one way ticket on Copa from Medellin to Panama, overnight then Panama to Boston for $205 usd.....cheaper flights for me to take this trip than to go to the US from Mexico directly 😲 xpaulo and frazzle 2 Quote

Try Salvador Bahia...Its the opposite of Rio but has some amazing beaches....Plus food and culture Rio has an amazing beach scene and beautiful beaches....Not sure what you didn't like or what you were expecting... Docbr01 Posted May 20 Posted May 20 Would add Recife too, quite a few tourist options (museums, forts from colonial time, Olinda colonial houses) and great beach’s in southern litoral in Pernambuco (well, not really in Recife - unless you dont mind losing a limb to sharks) - like Porto de Galinhas e Carneiros / Tamandaré beach (both like 1 hour car drive from Recife). Also, Termas Boa Vista has some good market boys wise. While the beach’s in Pernambuco are fantastic (with great resorts), the scene on those is lacking - but if you make contacts in Recife, it’s quite easy to arrange for a guy to spend the day (or a few days) with you in a hotel there.
