Guest lvdkeyes Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Tonight three of us ate at a new Vietnamese restaurant: Nusa Terrace in front of the Nusa Playa Hotel & Spa on Jomtien Beach Road, Soi 14. It is about half way between the two police boxes. As you are going north (with the sea on your right) it is right after POO STORY restaurant. It is hard to see the Nusa sign going that way. The place just opened June 11th. It is a smart sleek looking restaurant with outside and inside dining. All of the dishes range from 80-120 baht. The portions are small enough that you can order an array for a variety of flavors. We had, fresh spring rolls, fried Imperial rolls, green papaya salad, some little pork pieces on toothpicks, fried rice with chicken with lemongrass, sliced BBQ pork, 2 pieces of cake, 2 coffees, 2 waters and 1 iced tea. All for just under 1000 baht which includes service charge. The servers were very friendly with good English. Outside they had a girl singer. When we paid the bill they gave us discount coupons good for 10% off until July 109. I don't know what the 109 means. We all agreed we would go back again. Quote
Guest thaiworthy Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Perhaps it means July 1, 2009. (July 1, 09) Quote

2lz2p Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Thanks for the info. I like Vietnamese food, but my favorite (Pho) that is served here is more the Thai variety of beef noodle soup instead of the Vietnamese style. I don't live too far away from Nusa, so will give it a try. Anther landmark would be that it is in front of the Nusa Playa Hotel - which has about 35 floors and is the tallest building in the immediate area. Quote
