A homosexual male of non-Asian descent who is predominantly attracted to Asian males. Contrary to derisive stereotype, rice queens may fall within a wide age range, as may the objects of their physical and romantic attraction. The professed rice queen does not necessarily project a racist ideal of the submissive Asian onto his desired partner, though cases of this kind of projection do exist. Moreover, relationships between rice queens and potato queens in which the Asian partner enacts the sexual bottom role are not inevitably plagued by an unequal or exploitative power dynamic. Nor does rice queen status necessarily signal an Orientalist fetish; in many cases, the rice queen will simply tend to be attracted to certain physical features genetically common among males of Asian descent.

I was recently in USA and met a few Thai guys who I hooked up with and one of their friends called me a "Rice Queen". I really never thought of myself that way as I have special friends in Brazil and Europe and never really discriminate against anyone. I have had fewer white boyfriends over the years than Asian, Latin or Black but I do love guys of color. I wonder how many here are exclusive to Asian guys?

I went with "I mostly like Asian guys." Asian guys are definitely my preference, but I don't rule out exceptions once in a while.

I tend to prefer darker skinned guys, not only Asians, but Middle Easterners, Latins, Blacks, etc. as well.

I had to pick "It depends on my mood of the day" since there wasn't a category describing my preferences. I find myself most attracted to young caucasion guys. And in anticipation of the question, Why come to Thailand, then?, the problem is that those hot young studs aren't similarly attracted to ME and the sexual market in those countries where they are available to guys like ME is far too expensive for my wallet.

For me it is not necessarily the skin shade nor culture nor even gay or straight. The thing that makes me attracted to someone for sex is such a range of things I can not even describe it. But I do know it when I see it.

 

As to "those hot young Caucasian studs" not being attracted to "ME", I have learned that it may be surprising that there probably are some hot young studs attracted to older men. Just visit the "daddy" web sites.
