On my next trip which will be soon,I plan to sidestep the go go s and head over to soi bukhow ,to the gay karoake clubs.

I have had an email from a friend telling me what I have been missing all these years on my yearly trips.

He said drinks are relatively cheaper,and the guys parade around in normal streetwear.

AND best of all,are not gay/effeminate and are usually uni students doing part time work.

 

Apparently a completely different boy from the ones who work in go go s.

 

I did think at first he was talking about Cartier Boyz go go,because thats in soi bukhow way,but no,these clubs are karaoke clubs where you can actually off straight guys,usually young university student types.

I did try a karaoke club once in day night and i admit its no fun going alone and expensive,but apparently the ones in soi bukhow were full of single farang customers.

Am i missing something there?

Its a surprise to me that a karaoke club parades their waiters on stage every half hour?

is this only in soi bukhow? He said the off fee was 500b,ouch!

Apparenly there are about 5 of these bars all in a row and further info i managed to get is that Western women are customers looking for a proper male escort.

I don't know what your friend saw, but I know of no gay venues on Soi Buakhao at all. Not one. There are plenty of mixed crowd venues, but no gay venues on that soi that I know of. There is a large lady-boy bar on Soi Buakhao, though.

 

Cartier is not directly on Soi Buakhao. It's off Soi Buakhao on Soi Leng Kee 1, between Soi Buakhao and Third Road. I haven't been to Cartier in quite some time, so I really can't give you much in the way of first-hand experience, but I do know that many have said they love that bar and are delighted with the boys there. Give it a try. For its location I can't find any maps that show Cartier, but there is a hotel on the same soi called Opey de Place. Here is a link to their map, which is pretty good. Cartier is on the opposite side of the street, a little further up toward Third Road (just about where you see the letter "g" on the map for Soi Lengkee).

However, I agree with your friend in that there are plenty of willing boys to be found on Soi Buakhao, both on the streets and working at the various entertainment venues. Also, many of the boys who work in gay venues live in apartments along Soi Buakhao, so finding boys in that area isn't very difficult at all.

 

I also agree with your friend that people are missing out by not at least giving Soi Buakhao a try at least once.

im a bit scared to pick up from the from the streets.

i did pick up many years ago from jomtiem beach which was not a good idea afterwards.

Go to Soi Chiapoom off Soi Buakhao where the English restaurant is with the good Menu for 150 Seaside2 that is the Soi where you have most karaoke bars, I off there all the time, the Boys there are str8 and want to be paid for their rent, you can off them in most of the bars and they will give you a good time, even many have not been with a man before, they are also offed by women too.

 

But don't get any ideas of showing off these very handsome boys, to gay bars in BOYZTOWN or SUNEE PLAZA they would not be seen dead in a gay area. JJ Karaoke also in Soi Day and Night 2 has many Boys for off and many more round that area also.

No the Boys are there to serve you the drinks you buy, say a Bottle of Whiskey when you go in your see the vacant Boys waiting on seats or out side. you pick the guy you most like and then its as if you had asked a guy to sit with you in a Go Go bar, you chat with them or ask the Captain as the call them in none gay Bars Mamasam who will be offed by a guy she will show you who will go with you its easy and much more fun I have a guy who never went with a guy before, as I like them, he is still going with me now after 5 years and has a family and baby now and loves to visit. Still.

How do u pick up guys from the street?

I didn't necessarily mean that literally. No matter where you find a boy, the thing to do is make sure he has his ID card, that it's actually his own card, and that he's at least 18 years old. Gay and gay-friendly hotels know to hold his ID card until he is ready to leave and they have checked with you to make sure everything is ok. Before you give that ok, make sure nothing is missing. When you go out at night, before leaving your room make sure you have secured your valuables and that nothing is in sight if you bring a boy back. No sense inviting a potential burglary.

 

If you have any reason to be seriously suspicious that the boy might come back and attempt to burglarize your room or whatever, since he now knows your room number, you could always ask the hotel to let you switch to a different room.

 

Outside of a few rare cases, the only serious crimes and thefts I normally hear about are when farang took a Beach Road or Walking Street prostitute back to his room. Most of the time it's the street walkers who commit those thefts. I don't hear about lady-boys working in the various lady-boy bars committing those kinds of crimes.

 

Of course, the safest is finding your boys in well-established venues.

 

I don't know if this helps, and I can't speak for others, but I can tell you that I've met plenty of boys who work in the bars, come to the beach, from gay personals sites such as Gay Romeo, when shopping, and yes, on occasion someone I met while walking the streets. I've never had any kind of problem at all with any of them. That doesn't mean throw caution to the wind, but I think it does mean that the odds are greatly in your favor that you're not going to be robbed and that you're going to have a very good time with the boys you meet.

Switching rooms solves another problem. Some boys I've offed twice in a row or more, will come to the room knocking a few days later to ask why you did not come back to off them again. Annoying. Of course, when they ask the front desk where I've gone on these few occasions, they actually told them my new room number!

 

So, if someone really wants to rob you, they can rob you. All you can really do is slow them down. And its a good idea to tell the front desk to keep your business private. Or find another hotel.
