Guest taylorsquare Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 I see the upmarket gay boutique hotel,Room Club at Jomtiem is offering discounts on their room rates. http://www.room-club.com This place has been around a few years now so they must be doing something right. Their lowest room rate is 1700 b per night with a 20 per cent discount. I would love a room with a balcony overlooking the beach but im not sure if their standard rooms do this. I must admit I never hear them advertise much. Quote
atri1666 Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Once i have had a look at the rooms but saw nothing vindicating the high prices. Quote
Guest Astrrro Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 I think the unique location is the justification for the price. The downside is the dark walk home at night especially if dogs are around. Does anyone know the exact location of this place in relation to Tui's? Quote
Gaybutton Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Does anyone know the exact location of this place in relation to Tui's? It's next door to Tui's. The buildings are attached to each other. Quote
Guest Astrrro Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Did it used to be called Somboon House which seemed to be a hangout for backgammon players? Quote
Gaybutton Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Did it used to be called Somboon House which seemed to be a hangout for backgammon players? You've got me on that one. I have no idea. Perhaps someone else knows. Quote
Guest Kurt Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Does Tui's Place or Room-Club have a swimming-pool? Quote
Guest HeyGay Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 No but you have the Beach and Sea as the front garden? Quote
Guest Kurt Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 No but you have the Beach and Sea as the front garden? The management of the Room-Club wrote me that behind the building is a swimming-pool which their guest can use has anybody seen it? Quote
Guest Astrrro Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 I stayed at Tui's in 2004. The prices seemed to have doubled since then. I thought back then it was way undepriced. There just aren't that many rooms available in this location. Think it would be an excellent location if Jomtien Beach was swimable. I know some swim there but I don't. Quote
Guest Kurt Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 In the meantime I found 2 other places on Jomtien (gay-)beach: Avalon Beach Resort and Eurostar Jomtien Beach Hotel does anyone know these places and whats their opinion about? Thank you Quote
