Guest taylorsquare Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 I was surprised at the answer to this quiz question, mind you i really dont know what a World Symbol is anyway. See if you can get the correct answer. What symbol represents good luck in Vietnam? 1.jade 2.Fat Buddha 3.dragon 4.square earth 5.cat Quote
KhorTose Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Well having spent two years in Vietnam this is easy and not so easy. Having been influenced by the Chinese who ruled Vietnam centuries the Dragon is the lucky symbol. However coins, silk fortune cookies, and fruit can also stand for good luck--both on home alters and during Tet. Quote

Bob Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 chúc may mắn (good luck or "wish you luck" in Vietnamese). As to the symbol? Hell if I know. Tons of dragons all over the place in Vietnam so that's my tepid guess. Quote
