Gaybutton Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 One of the more common methods of larceny I read about, including an article today, is someone takes a prostitute, whether male, female, TV, or whatever (usually picked up on Beach road or Walking Street) to his room. Then the thief puts some sort of drug into the victim's drink. In a short while the victim passes out and remains unconscious for hours. By the time the victim wakes up, the thief is long gone, along with the victim's valuables. What drug(s) are these thieves using to do that? Where do they get it? Quote
Guest laurence Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 GHB, Ketamine, Rohypnol are the common ones known as date rape drugs. I suppose it is the old story of seek and find. Quote
Guest Astrrro Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Rohypnol aka roofies it seems the higest risk proposition is a threesome with freelancers. two thais just doesn't double the risk, rather it increases the risk exponentially. Quote
Gaybutton Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 I have to admit that I'm quite ignorant when it come to drugs (among other things). Are these 'date rape' drugs obtained legally in Thailand? Can these people just walk into a local pharmacy and walk out with these drugs? I wouldn't be surprised if the answer is yes. Every week there are news articles about arrests of users and sellers of Ya Ba, Ya Ice, and that sort of thing, but I don't recall ever seeing an article even mentioning the drugs listed above. So, where are these thieves obtaining these drugs? Quote
Guest laurence Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 Although familiar with some of these date rape drugs my info comes from a Google search. It seems that some drugs are legal but not sure about Thailand. Just saw on the evening news that young people in the US do dealing on social web networks like MySpace. Quote
Guest shebavon Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 I once heard a story about a friend who picked up a hooker, and believes the source of the drugs he had ingested was from the date's nipples. He woke up later, only to find that his luggage had been gone through, and valuables gone. I have no idea what drug would be suitable for this type of scam, nor if the story is true. Quote

Guest fountainhall Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Can these people just walk into a local pharmacy and walk out with these drugs? Rohypnol used to be available over the counter in Thailand, but not for well over a decade. Ages ago my doctor in Hong Kong used to give me rohypnol tablets to help me sleep on long business trips. A half tablet always did the trick He then told me he'd have to change to another type because rohypnol had been banned by certain countries. Since they worked so well as a sleeping pill, I remember going in to a pharmacy in Patpong 2 to ask if they still had some. "How many do you want" was the reply "because they will soon be banned here?" As I was trying to decide if I wanted 20 or 30, he produced a large bottle full of pills. "There's about 1,000 in there, Is that enough?" I soon learned about their use as a date rape drug of choice and wondered if that pharmicist thought I was up to no good! Quote
Gaybutton Posted May 11, 2009 Author Posted May 11, 2009 wondered if that pharmicist thought I was up to no good! Weren't you . . . . ? I may be wrong, but I don't think the drug came from her nipples unless she was lactating. I seem to recall reading in the local news media, about a year or so ago, that some of the typical Walking Street prostitutes were spreading some sort of chemical on their breasts. When their victim would lick that area, the drug did it's thing and they woke up to find themselves robbed. Quote

Guest Geezer Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Hmmm. I wonder why Thai boys don’t put it on their members. Quote

Guest Geezer Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 I have read several times of this happening with rent girls, but never with rent boys. I have read of boys/men putting a drug into a farang’s drinks, but never applying it to their own member to be ingested by the John. Quote

If that catches on, a shared shower should allow one to take suitable precautions. How often does drugging of punters occur on the gay scene? Quote
Gaybutton Posted May 11, 2009 Author Posted May 11, 2009 How often does drugging of punters occur on the gay scene? Fortunately, it's extremely rare. I'm not certain I've ever heard of it happening on the gay scene at all. The most common occurrences are farang, usually Indian or Arabic for some reason, that pick up female or lady-boy street prostitutes. Quote
