Central Mall

Just a rhetorical question really:

Does anyone understand the numbering of the floors in the parking garage?

There is 1, 1 1/2. 1/12, 1 1/2, 2, 2 1/2, 2 1/2, 2 1/2, 3 etc.

If we were going to meet in the parking garage on, say, level 2 1/2, how would we know which 2 1/2?

One more thing to add to GB's "I don't get it" list.

Actually, it is pretty good I think as I have "lost" my car more than once in a few of the California malls as well as McCarron Airport in Las Vegas when I lived there.

The 1/2 floors do not have access to the mall so you need to climb up or down the stairs to get in, but all of the floors have the same number system i.e. D16 or B11 etc.

Actually, I do get it. At least I think I do. It took a while, but I think I figured it out. On Level 2, for example, there is an entrance to the shopping mall. On level 2 1/2 you either have to walk up a flight of stairs or down a flight of stairs to be on a level that has an entrance to the mall. So, I think the half levels are those that have no direct entrance to the mall.

Of course, if I'm right then it's still an oddball way of numbering parking levels. If I'm wrong, then yes indeed it would get a place on my "I Don't Get It" list.

My point was there are (3) 1 1/2 levels (3) 2 1/2 levels (3) 3 1/2 levels and so on. Three levels all with the same number is crazy. It would have been better understood if it was labeled: 1, 1 a, 1 b, 1 c, 2, 2a, 2b, 2c, etc.
