Locals have been dealing with this condition annually and that's why they've used facemasks well before the onset of covid. Traffic cops are rarely without them.

Indeed, there is rarely a year without this, schools closed etc. Strangely, the Government doesn't do much about it! (Use of irony!)

I noticed the haziness of the skyline while coming into Bangkok from Pattaya on Sunday, almost exactly like the photo in Bangkok Post. I've never seen this before during the cool season.

I think that's the point. The onset is earlier this year.
