KICK OUT THE FOREIGNERS!!

Ok, there are some People Against Democracy devotees in here who are stating that all foreigners be kicked out of Thailand so that Thailand can solve their own problems. Let’s take the on a trip down the Yellow Brick Road to Never, Never Land (yeah, I’m mixing stories here, but what the heck) and give them an idea of what it would be like if that were to happen.

Let’s start with the biggest, and most notable.

AUTOMOBILES - Honda – Toyota – Isuzu – Mitsubishi - GM - Ford - Chevrolet. These are all owned by, excuse me, FOREIGNERS, and if they are kicked out Thailand, they are taking their business with them. No more factories that employ THOUSANDS of Thai, so they are all out of work. Not to mention all the “satellite” companies associated with the factories themselves, such as companies that produce transmissions, door handles, mirrors, interior carpeting, windshields and side windows, etc., so all of those companies also have to shut down as well. There go the jobs for a few thousand more Thai. And, of course, all of the dealer showrooms and dealerships would also have to be shut down as well. Again, another few thousand Thai out of work.

STEEL INDUSTRY – A large portion of their sales go to the automobile manufacturers, but since there won’t be any of those left, they will have to cut back, firing even more hard working Thai.

HOTELS – 95% of them would have to shut down. Hotels are built for tourists and visiting business people. No foreign tourists, no foreign business men, no need for hotels. Thailand’s own governmental department dealing with tourism has stated that approximately 1.5 MILLION Thai who work in the tourist industry, or have tourist related jobs, will lose those jobs next year due to what PAD has done. So if you have to shut down 95% of the hotels, how many millions of Thai will THAT put out of work?

How many business that depend on tourists in Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya and Samoui will have to close up shop and put all their people out of work?

You can also shut down Thai Immigration, and all their thousands of workers. After all, if no one is coming in to the country, what do you need an Immigration Department for?

And, of course, there go all the McDonalds, KFC and other Non-Thailand business franchise as well. A few thousand more out of work.

With all the MILLIONS of Thai now put out of work because all the foreigners are gone, who is going to step in and help them out? Is PAD prepared to give jobs to them that pay as much as they make now, or even a job at all???

If all the foreigners left, or were forced to leave, Thailand would fall into total anarchy within a week. For a group that claims THEY are the “educated” and know what’s best for the country, why is it that we can’t get an intelligent response or comment from any of them? Why do they all spout the same rote ideology, which they can’t intelligently defend, and resort to name calling and threats towards anyone who disagrees with them. If that’s the “intelligent” group, I’d rather be with the stupid northerners any day of the week.Just-1-Voice
