Easy on the eye, but they tend to come with attitudes. Personally I would not pay 3000 baht (about USD 100) for a semi-muscled guy from Tawan. Whereas, I happily pay 200 Rais (about USD 40) for the big muscle guy in Brazil to unload their gozada eagerly and willingly. I am talking about real body builder muscles. floridarob and Boy69 2 Quote

Everyone can do with their money whatever they want, however you are right Thailand become very expensive for the same service you pay between third to half price in South America compared to Thailand and the boys there are very attractive this is why I put Thailand on hold and focusing in South America nowadays. Thailand has other advantages : 1.accommodation and food is cheaper. 2.More easy to find boys and bring them to your room. 3.It's much safer country. moistmango, KeepItReal, barcelona92 and 6 others 9 Quote

If it's an option for you, I'm envious. Locations and all that - a plane ticket to Brazil would cost many, many times what a flight to BKK does for me. Quote

For me flying to Brazil would be cheaper than Thailand and still is Brazil 0: Thailand 30. Why ? I think Boy69 summarized it very neatly in his post : 14 hours ago, Boy69 said: ......Thailand become very expensive for the same service you pay between third to half price in South America compared to Thailand and the boys there are very attractive this is why I put Thailand on hold and focusing in South America nowadays. I gnash my teeth , suffer badly and still prefer Bangkok and vicinity. I'm not particularly chickeny and vast travel experience taught me that places supposedly dangerous aren't as bad as word says but still I'm not big fun of having my vacation time spoiled by worries ' other side of railway station is considered unsafe" , " area between park and river bank is said to be off limits for tourists " , " when in taxi make sure windows are closed" and most important ' bringing unknown boy to your hotel may not be safe" . All quotations from various trip reports on this site. So up to now I'm content to pay 3000 baht ( 100 $) rather than 200 reais (40$) secured in knowing that if I need to walk from bar to hotel at say 2 am I don't need to call taxi nor constantly look over my shoulder. I've posted about this same thing, with Thailand in the lead for food, massage, hotels, shopping and better choice of Business class flights. Brasil, Crazy good sex, guys are not shy and more fun, less drama, willing to be more "adventurous" in sex. Better to hang out with and go places.....also some good restaurants and some decent Airbnb's. Lucky, reader and vinapu 3 Quote
ChristianPFC Posted October 13, 2023 Posted October 13, 2023 Brazil vs. Thailand, based on one trip to Brazil: knowledge of English is close to non-existent in Brazil. Whereas in SEAsia, I get around okay with English. vinapu and Londoner 2 Quote

Boy69 Posted October 13, 2023 Posted October 13, 2023 I agree with ChristianPFC in Thailand you can get by with some basic English with locals but in Colombia I felt like an alien English is almost non existent. Quote

No price for guessing why upon return first thing he did was to buy a new phone. Not that your advice is without merit but one need to be more vigilant in some places than other. 10tazione 1 Quote

I've "lost" things in BKK, but from the days of picking up guys at DJ Station and Bank Studio, lesson learned, somewhat. Same rules in Brazil...go with Sauna Guys, RARELY if ever, will you have a problem, and don't feed the Gremlins after midnight. Some "bulky" guys might think they're not susceptible to some stuff and act careless. Quote
Members scott456 Posted October 14, 2023 Members Posted October 14, 2023 I had been drugged at G.O.D. Bangkok, and wallet stolen. Watch your drink at all time. Another tip, be extra cautious on your day of arrival after a long flight journey, you are tired and may not be as alert as you normally are. Mavica, vinapu and floridarob 3 Quote

Google translate works okay, but I find it cumbersome and wouldn't want to rely on it. And in Vietnam and Cambodia and Myanmar (in Thailand I speak Thai), I get around without google translate.
