Twitter has changed its brand and logo from its famous blue bird to "X".

The new white X on a black background has replaced the blue bird on the desktop version of the social network, although is yet to appear on the mobile app.

"Tweets" will also be replaced, according to Twitter's owner Elon Musk, and posts will be called "x's".

The billionaire changed his profile picture to the new logo and added "X.com" to his Twitter bio.

Mr Musk wants to create a "super app" called X - his vision for a new kind of social media platform that he has been talking about creating for months.

On Sunday, the billionaire said he was looking to change Twitter's logo, tweeting: "And soon we shall bid adieu to the Twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds."

Hilariously Microsoft owns the service mark for "X" in this realm.

He's really not much of a genius

And I also see that Meta (aka Facebook/IG/Threads) owns a trademark for X for use in social media.

Twitter is really weird. I wrote a PM to a msg shop and the result was that my account is locked due to unusual activity. So writing a PM is unusual activity. Then I had to proof I am human by solving some puzzle and after that I could send the message. Happened twice in the last 7 days ...

I use Twitter for one and only one thing, to check latest feed of Moonlight Silom, other that that I see no use. None of my friends tweets there and I'm not interested what Donald  Trump or whoever has to say there .

I have Line and that's enough for my needs. And pleasure of walking in and seeing first hand  what's going on can't be underestimated , even if it's far away place like Jey or Apollo
