I had to cancel an upcoming trip to SDQ. I had missed the deadline to cancel by 4 days and was hit with a $165 loss. I didn't bother to reach out to the owner of the property because he's always VERY ACCOMMODATING with us when we book with him so I didn't want to bother him and ask for a refund because of my canceling. He and I have become very close over the years and a few years ago I would send him a whatsapp message and book directly through him to save money by not having to pay the additional fees when I book through the rental site. This was before I realized I was doing myself a disservice and was losing money because the more I spend on my spirit credit card, the more points I get and that keeps me at my spirit GOLD STATUS and also substantially lowers the cost of our flights. The spirit rewards program is AMAZING, MY FELLOW SLUTS. ww don't fly to sdq every 6 weeks because we're rich. We're able to go every 6 weeks because of the points we accumulate on that credit card. Long story short. When I looked at my email a short while ago, I see that he, the apartment owner, sent me back the $165 and left a sweet little note in The comment section. The $165 was actually his to keep and u hadn't called or texted to ask if he would send it back. Which was totally unexpected. I'm the type of whore who always send the owners holiday greeting texts, send random texts to see how their families are and also send birthday texts if I know that information. That ISH goes a long way with ANYONE, especially property owners and restaurant employees and owners. We go to eat at our favorite restaurant in zona colonial and they treat us like royalty.
