It cover the entrance and show fee however still overpriced.

Last Saturday, there was a group of customer arguing the total bills at Banana Room Club for almost 20 minutes, they called many boys to accompany, I assumed they did not aware the cost of boy's drink lol

500 baht for a bottle of beer

3500 for a bottle of red label

For real?

You are not paying for drink it's for entrance and the show, if you want cheap beer you can buy it at 7/11.

Vote with your feet. If you don't want to pay it, don't go. There are cheaper places to have fun if that's what you are looking for.
I wouldn't pay it, and I certainly wouldn't suffer the screeches of females in the audience. No thank you.

Get the bus to Pattaya (143 TBH) and go to Nice Boys or something. You will have more fun there.

I take it your not a fan of Bangkok ?😁

Interesting. Were the punters predominantly Chinese or falang? Many women? Was it well-attended? do you know what the off- fee was?

Minority white farang, the rest are mostly SEA farangs

went there on Sunday and it was 80% occupied !

off fee wasn’t sure , sorry

I pretty sure that there’s a big sign saying boys drink 350 baht lol

I’m very curious what happened in the end, did they reluctantly pay?

If they didn't there will be a news story later today I'm sure.
They always pay....
I have seen people escorted to ATMs multiple times. Sometimes by the BIB!

I won't go into detail but many years ago I went into a Go Go bar and had forgotten my wallet..

I was forced to give the farang owner a blowjob as payment .

at least you remember,

if you normally paid, visit would fade in memory long time ago

I recall a number of threads a few years ago about drinks prices and how when business is slow - or has been slow - the automatic reaction of bar owners is to raise prices. It is the only thing they know. Reducing prices to encourage higher patronage, reducing off prices, making shows more appealing . . . they do not want to know!

Mind you, I could say the same about the cost of a glass of wine in many restaurants. Having had an enjoyable 2 hours at the newer of the two Yunimori onsens last week, I decided to have a nice meal. Across the road is a small rather elegant restaurant with medium pricing. I ordered a glass of white wine. The food was excellent but I could hardly see anything in the large wine glass. I suspect it was little more than 125 mls and cost 250 baht +service+tax. This from a bottle that from a wholesaler had problably cost not more than 600 baht. A markup of more than 350%.

I miss Soi Twilight. For me, it was the heart of Bangkok's nightlife. When it closed, Bangkok was really ruined for me.
I don't dislike Bangkok, I just prefer living in Pattaya, specifically Jomtien.

The major problems for me in Bangkok is the pollution, the never ending traffic and the heat.

I feel the same all the fun was in Soi Twilight , but the same can be said about Pattaya: Sunnee is almost a ghost town, Boyz Town is a pale shadow to its glory days and Jomtien Complex never appealed to me.

I think the problem is with the shrinking of the gay tourists arriving to Thailand the old generation is fading away and the younger generation isn't coming in big numbers and if they do their behaviour is different than ours so the bars are trying to extract as more money as they can from the shrinking clientele entering their bars.

You can get a glass of acceptable red at Wine Connection for 120 bht and bottle for 550.

Have suggested promotions in the past but owners deaf to ideas like no off fee if you buy boy drink on slow nights, 2-for-1 drinks, etc.
