Popular Post floridarob Posted June 18, 2023 Popular Post Posted June 18, 2023 I was watching old Eddie Murphy interviews on YouTube, I think he's so funny to listen to. This is from a Letterman show in 1985...you can fast forward to the Eddie Murphy parts, stay watching because Eddie and Cavett are pretty hilarious also. Or just forward to 36 minutes and Cavett tells his Bangkok story, I guess most people were unaware of Thailand back then, but it seemed a little awkward because Dave had no clue, lol fedssocr, vinapu, Olddaddy and 2 others 4 1 Quote
fedssocr Posted June 19, 2023 Posted June 19, 2023 Was Dick really visiting girly bars? This is completely off-topic, but Tim Newton's Sunday YT show with Steve Rosse is entertaining mostly because Steve is a pretty good story teller. reader and floridarob 1 1 Quote
forrestreid Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 Steve Rosse has his own Youtube channel which is a bit off the wall, but entertaining sometimes too. If people are feeling nostalgic for Thailand of the Eighties, a straight Youtuber called "Karl's Thailand" has an interesting collection of videos where he provides reminisces and commentary over photos he took during travels in Thailand from 1987 to 1992. Its better than it sounds - he has a cool Cockney geezer accent too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ns5YafVjhzU&t=38s He also has loads of videos where he explores out-of he way places in Thailand in the present day - interesing if the thoughst of exploring deepest Isaan fascinates you... vinapu and fedssocr 2 Quote
vinapu Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 I found his accent more comprehensive than that of most of British celebrities. He is right, those days travelling was much more of adventure but while memories are precious and fun I still prefer days now when one can organize whole trip in few hours like I did for my unexpected May trip. Not to mention relative price of flight dropped down mightily even if in nominal may be more floridarob and fedssocr 2 Quote
