On another hand many guys who are screaming murder at such prices are spending much more when bar fees and rounds of drinks there are counted ie. our drink, boy' drink, mamasan drink is already,  say 1500. not to mention rounds of tips. But fun is precious. 

to cover wider audience in some bars I employ strategy of    telling boy I will be offing him today but have other (s) sitting and drinking with me , that way more guys are avoiding unemployment

not everyone but yes, I don't mind tipping here and there , mostly in self interest as it signalizes I may be interested in future. It's like buying goodwill, LOL

as for 3000 LT, yes I'd like to meet them too but have feeling that after bit of bargaining some would go for it, specially twinks as they abound on the market. Problem is,  for me haggling kills the fun, after all I'm not  buying shirt or shorts but time and access to privates of other man. So my strategy is to fix price before hand and haggling is minimal if at all, -his price , my price, yes or no.

Day 7  

 I waked up at 8.30 and right after breakfast I went to take hop-on , hop off bus. Virgin trip for me as I never used it anywhere. It has 17 or 18 stops , runs every 20 mins and covers all main attractions. I don’t remember cost but something tells me 60 normal , 30 senior. Whatever it is , good value for money.

  Mostly it stops only if there’s request but at Royal Palace ( I think is called National House     there was 20 minutes stop for photos and toilet.  I regret not having stop at birds park  , apparently biggest of this kind in the world and it looked big although probably can take good part of day to visit so other places would be missed)

It seemed most of tourist on my bus were locals and this being Malaysia comments were in good English.

At stop nr 14 or 15 I decide to modify my plans as it was KL Tower, another high place. They have glass booths similar to ones at Mahanakhon but enclosed and time there is monitored and limited to few minutes. Those who remember old 1 ringgit note , Tower was featured on it.

 No senior discount so full 110 price but it was worth it if only to see Petronases from up high. Tower is on the hill so if taking public transit it may be n bit of uphill walk. Then I took the same bus to Bukit where I had  lunch , of course chicken with cashew nuts , if only to compare with Bangkok. Then to Central market where I bought few trinkets for folks at home and from there I walked to nearby Merdeka (Freedom) square with interesting architecture and pole with giant Malaysian flag.

 As main squares go this was  on human scale and I liked it. From my school years I recalled book called “Merdeka means freedom “ about Malaysian independence struggle and was glad that I was finally able to be there. It was afternoon and heat get to me  so I decided to return to hotel as my friend had some entertainment planned for us  for the evening.  

 Because nature of this trip I constantly compare Thailand with Malaysia and must say in one filed Kuala Lumpur beat Bangkok not 10 but 20 times. Grindr. While in BKK I get few messages a day here my phone was pinging constantly , record I noted was 19 messages  in 1 hour ! Unfortunately I did not utilize opportunity but it was close call as one guy accosting me  actually stay in the same hotel. How I know? He actually told me he saw me in the lobby.

 Unfortunately he was not exactly my type and he killed his chances with calling me ‘daddy ‘ . I was called worse by better people but hate that. Call me old or ancient but ‘daddy ‘ or ‘papa ‘ is death sentence as far as engagement is concerned.

 We actually came eye to eye in the evening when my friend arrived and guy just emerged from hotel. Not sure he tried to stalk me but later he sent me a message saying how disappointed he is with my lack of interest.

 Then my friend and me  went to some well conspired place providing massage services for man by man. One needs to call to get admission to the building , then wait for unit to open. Inside there were quite a few attractive guys so we made our pick and pay fee  of 280 for 1.5 hr.  of full service, whatever it is. Then we went to another locale in the same building where we could survey stamp collection or whatever was on the table. Place was clean, guy, Myanmarese,  was willing and time kept to a minute. So I liked it , tipped guy 100 extra although I was told it was not necessary. 380 RM is   roughly 3000 baht so is comparable to Bkk prices in Silom ghetto or likes like Jey Spa or Prince. Thrill was for free.

 My friend dropped me at hotel, my stalker was nowhere to be seen  although there were few messages from him I mentioned earlier. I had moment thinking about calling him over but my gut feeling told me ‘no’, he was just too persistent, forget even whole ‘daddy ‘ issue.

 Floridarob claims I’m easy but I have  some idiosyncrasies I observe and being too pushy or too persistent is one of them, specially when guy is of unknown quality.

I even went downstairs to store nearby to buy package of loose leaf BOH tea, Malaysian brand from  Cameron highlands which I found very good.

What's wrong with being called "daddy"? You prefer him to call you Mr KFC? Emphasis on "Mr".

nothing wrong, name is used in industry so to speak but I don't like it. Sounds paternalistic to me.

Day 8

 As they say, time to say goodbye. Breakfast, again I was only farang looking guest there.

Fast packing as most of my goodies are still in Baan Silom, monorel to KL Sentral and airport express from there.

 Air Asia did not gave me a chance to select a seat for  free and system assigned me middle one but by grace of God other two seats in my row were nor assigned so I had 3 seats for myself , too bad it was only 2.hr15 mins flight.

 In Don Muang very fast , no immigration line whatsoever. Going to the train I heard my name all of the sudden. One of guys from former Bangkok Massage whose brother I offed at least 10 times was waiting for somebody and recognized me. Not in business any more , scuba dive instructor now.

Another proof that world is small.

 In coupon restaurant on the way to station I treated myself with duck on the rice for 65 baht, my usual treat when in DMK and  1 hr later I returned to Baan Silom to learn that I was assigned the same room, not that I care as anyone would do.

 At 7 I was supposed to meet another member ggobkk who was gracious enough to find some time for meeting on day of his return home. It was about to rain so I decided to go to GBangkok bit

earlier  , great idea as it started raining at 7 on the dot. My friend arrived  with big umbrella but soon rain stopped,   After chat and dinner and more chat we decided to go to Screwboys, first visit for both of us after reopening.

 Mamasan recognized us immediately, they did not really opened yet but she ordered few guys to the stage, few were OK and # 26 got tips for good looks from both of us. She also remembered that my best boy ever, One was from there and showed me his pictures, serious man in mid thirties now , father of 3 but still I recall him vividly . Muscular hunk who knew very well what his clients want and delivered. But it was in 2015 and after that he disapeared from the scene  for good.

 100 baht for her to keep that memory  fresh forever, then after a while ggobkk went to his hotel to get ready for his trip and I went to jeweler on Thaniya to exchange some money.  Then to Hot male beer bar to have drinks with boys and asked P to be there tomorrow at 3 so we can assess my new stamp acquisition. Then climbed  stairs to Freshboys to watch the show and tip the best looking guy as usual. By sheer coincidence he had number #26 as well .

He would be my candidate for an off but over Line I already promised N, the masseur,  that we sleep together tonight so went home so to speak empty handed.

On my way I met on Silom  his workmate who assured me that N will be there after he closes shop at 1 as today was his turn about which I was aware already.

who ? my "stalker" in KL ? no idea, we did not get into details as I was not really interested in.  His bit of hysterical comments after he saw me departing with my friend ensured me I made right decision, engaging drama queens never good idea.

Day 9

 N sleeps in his shop. Because of that,  3 days a week  he is cleaning it before opening and after closing which I consider very fair. That was reason he could come only at 1 but I did not mind, we still had good , largely sleepless night. Left at 6  to take care about the shop so I returned to warmed bed  to get some sleep.

At 9 marched to Foodland, heart bleeding becauseby 5 minutes  I missed  time when breakfast is whopping 10 baht cheaper, then to XOne to exchange money and to Silom market in soi 10 to buy charger as I left mine in hotel in Kuala Lumpur, one of senior moments I guess because I’m not exactly known  for  leaving my stuff behind.

Silom market as market go is very modest affair but yet in my every hour of need , be it charger , coat hangers, baseball hat, undies, t-shirt , pen , day pack , you name it ,I go there and find what I need , usually for very little.

I spotted one of Jupiter mamasans manning  one of the stands.

In hotel no water again but power was so I made a coffee and then took BTS to Madrid for lunch with Christian PFC.  Always interesting chat over tasty pizza, we have our ritual and share whatever we ordered half / half with each other.

 We walked back , I was mindful that I have to meet  P from Hot Male at 3 to check stamp collection so made sure I’m there , in still empty soi on time. No sight of him , nor even answer to my Lines so at 3.30 I left empty handed. Reader reported that he will be drinking coffee at Coffee Grinder at 5 if I want to join so I used that occasion to complain, his answer was very reasonable P obviously is not in  a need of money. Good for P  thought I.

Just before 5 I got message from him “ sorry I slept in”. Too late obviously as I had other designs this afternoon.

Reader and I exchanged news while tasting their coffee and first and foremost admiring their cheerful and handsome staff. I even get bonus when boys were readying to leave at they close at 6 one of them changed  shirt to reveal torso worth 2750 baht short time in process.

This trip I decided firmly to return to old butterflying days, did not work exactly as intended with few repats anyways but at least I tried and liked it. Today I scheduled last bar I did not visit yet- Dreamboys so around 9 went there.

  Several boys on the stage already , among them Fai, very good masseur  I know from Arena so called him for drink, shortly his brother Dit arrived to wing me from other side. But I was in no mood to hire from there.  What I saw was discouraging. Out of 3 rotation about 12 each so total 30-40 guys I’d remotely consider 3 and only # 11 looked truly attractive earning red not as I departed.

 A lot of veterans of soi Twilight which says something. Ggobkk who visited few day earlier had exactly the same impression but on another hand Jason 1975 who went there few days after me completely disagreed. So either I had bad luck or he had good one or there’s fundamental difference in taste. As I said somewhere else and tend to repeat constantly -  go and check for yourself , my throwaway may be your treasure and other way around.

 Tipped both brothers 200 for their time and old times sake  and decided to have another try at Moonlight I visited last week. With all bars covered time for 2^nd round.

I was hoping to see Y , who impressed me on my last night in Feb and yes , he was on the stage. No time was wasted to bring him over for a drink and before his was delivered , night’s fate was sealed.

A,  the hunk spotted me as well so I invited him for drink too , if only to tell him that I did not like last week  when he abandoned me from another customer.

 This time he did not go anywhere  until his drink was finished . So I used that to try to wrestle him a bit which we always do  , he always wins but my ego is still boosted because I manage to resist for  a bit. He made suggestion we repeat Feb feast with Y and him together but I said that for me it’s twice expense for half fun so he gave up trying.  

In models parade I noticed few new faces, Jack who appeared very nervous last week seems settled now but for now Mean seem to be my #1. I also noticed I’m warming up to Babe, perhaps because now he is not one to close parade as he always did , now he is one of many.

I did not see Nut last time neither during parade today but at one point he showed up, came to say hallo, admitted casually he is late and way he was dressed made me suspect that he must be in good hands now. Very formal and elegant at the same time so I’m happy for him he found his girl or man, whoever. Another one not present was Nicky, neither last week nor today but time I was in love with him is long gone.

I’m glad they are trying to refresh their models  stable  as old faces and bodies , while still attractive are becoming bit stale so new blood is needed. On another hand I must admit original set was of really outstanding quality,  real hunky hunks while never crew is somewhat mixed which is not necessarily wrong as not everybody likes that type.

 At one point I start getting itchy so tipped A and  marched with Y to hotel by the way of Unesco Heritage. Y turned endearingly modest when comes to food as Foodland was his idea and he chosen some ordinary dish like pad Thai. Not that modest when came to LT tip but absolutely and positively did his best to earn it. One of those few precious who feel immediately what and when customer wants. By far best night of this trip. I was so excited and happy that I almost pay dearly for all that fun but that’s the story for next installment .

Day 10

 Y wanted to go home so I went or rather should say flew on cloud 7 to World Famous for a breakfast. What I was thinking I don’t know or rather know, how great last night was , at least to me. Then went to ATM to withdrew some money and returned to hotel with a loot.

 By the way,  machine refused to spit out 25000 , message came that maximum number of banknotes to be withdrawn is 25. So I assumed ATM run out of 1000 notes, as it refused 24000 either. I settled on 20000 and indeed in the pack there were few 500”s

In hotel  I wanted to do some calculations , reached for the phone and it was not there. Since I did not use it in the bank it must be Foodland so I kind of sprinted there.  I, opposite to almost everybody else,  can travel without the phone although those days it almost become impossible , I don’t bank on it but losing contacts,  specially Line ones would be nasty. So I hoped it will be there.

On approach I already knew it is as one of waitresses seeing me motioned . They made me  sign in some  notebook I received it .  I left 200 tip and started to celebrate reunion. It pays to be known there and seat usually at the same table so they must have notice right away.

Today I’m changing hotels and moving to Bayioke Sky. Every trip I like to treat myself with something bit better for 2-3 nights just to know how better half is spending their vacations. I get there in Bangkok style i.e. by tuk-tuk, chiefly because this time I’m travelling with bit bigger luggage for simply reason- it was included in price so I thought, why not ?

 Most weight were 6  books I took with me hoping to read them but it turned out I managed to finish only 3. Biggest suitcase allowed me to stock up on coffee and certain soaps I always buy in Thailand.

Thing I like about Bayioke is that view is guaranteed as lowest floor is 19th and guests have free access to viewing platform on the top. Hotel is not teenager exactly and is bit worn off but rooms are big and bathroom  was for sure at least of the same size like my whole room in Ibis Styles where I stay in Feb. so no claustrophobic feeling at all.

Room was not ready , their check in and check out hours are bit different , check-out by 11, check in from 2, typical for hotels with plenty of  organized tours. So I left luggage , Lined Jey Spa if they can bring Maii2 for 2.30. As always response was almost immediate. I still had some time so wandered through the area which is not exactly shiny in comparison to Silom or Sukhumvit but certainly lively and safe.

Then had nice walk to Nana Station , from there BTS to Phrom Phong and walk to soi 43 to arrive just on time  as receptionist told me my boy just arrived too. We met  twice in Jan and he remembered me greeting me with prolonged hug. After great night, great day too. Very enjoyable session . Did not come cheap, 1250 for VIP room for 1.50hr, minimum  tip 1800 but I upped to 2200 just to let Maii know  I was happy.

Jey Spa continues to shine, first Noom , now Maii certainly worth the time to get there and expense.

 As a bonus Maii dropped me  at BTS station but because it was rush hour I made sure I behaved  as passenger without any questionable moves.

 In hotel room was waiting for me , this time on 58 floor only , probably 10 floors down compare to last year at the same time and it was normal window, not panoramic glass but that’s the price for picking up cheaper option.

 In the evening dinner with anddy in G’Bangkok . Motorsai for 80 baht . At restaurant I utilized their Tursday schnitzel special again. Hugs with both barkers at Banana, I have hots for one of them , I think I mentioned it already, but I’m too shy to approach him for more than hug and vinapu tuck . Slowly, slowly but surely, there’s still future.

Then we decided to check on HotMale but after 11 a lots of guys were already taken including all I’d consider. This deflated me  a bit and after making rounds through the area I decided to return home empty handed to my eternal shame. Me sleeping alone in Thailand ? Shot me on the spot !

Not that I did not have option as masseur N is bombarding me with questions when we meet again and I don’t think he is helping his case. Sweet boy  but not feeling me way Y, S or both Jay Spa masseurs do. Last message rung at 2 am so I advised him to go to bed and applied that advice to myself as well for few moments regretting my phone this morning was not lost for good.
