Is Adam apple still going?

just go, it's only 1 hr flight, certainly worth day or three. Take massage at Classic House. If you lucky one of their boys may even ask you to buy him a new phone. Happened to me and strangely perhaps I was happy about it, extracting free long time and some commuting in the city

CM is certainly worth a visit as touristic place: the old city, the temples and interesting soroundings. For gay pleasures it's a hit and miss. I am in Vinapu camp it's worth the try and visit.

Adam Apple is open - staffed mainly by tai yai lads from Myanmar - usually around 16 or so lads on show - but due to recent police raids on bars and clubs in CM the lads are wearing shirts and shorts ( previously underwear)- there is a show which consists of cabaret and lads exhibiting their wares. A bottle of Sangsom or 100 Pipers is around 1400 1500 thb with free mixers - small beer around 270 thb. Usually no shortage of volunteers to help finish a bottle and the lads enjoy a good friendly customer. 

Circle Pub is also open and operates on the same style as Adams Apple. 

Both venues easy to get to via Grab, Maxim or Bolt or tuk tuk.

The night bazaar has 3 main bars - Orion, Connections, Ram which are all in Soi 6. The latter is primarily a cabaret bar whilst Orion and Connections cater to gay clientele. There are a handful of drinking companions at both bars. and extras can be offered. It's low season now so bars have been relatively quiet.

The apps - Hornet, Grindr, Blue'd are popular.

Classic House massage is well worth a visit and the management also.provides tour guide services - Woody is your man.

So many eating possibilities in CM as well as coffee shops.

Nothing better than a visit to the lake at Huay Taeng Tao with a couple of lads , sitting on a bamboo platform eating fried fish and drinking Leo. Or better still an overnighter on a houseboat with company on Mae Gnat Dam.

Once a great gay destination for many years, gay Chiang Mai seems all but in its death throes.

Sadly true - even accounting for it being low season the number of locals out and about attending the venues has also diminished. Connections Bar in Soi 6 of the Night Bazaar seems to have boys most nights. Circle Pub is soldiering on as is Adams Apple and Orion Bar

I used to visit Chiang Mai regularly over many, many years and loved those trips. More recently, having seen the sights many times, been to Doi Inthanon to see the waterfalls, visited the orchid farms and ridden on elephants, I find the nights quite boring. I found the Night Bazaar bars dead! (That's really a misnomer as there are no longer any bars actually in the Night Bazaar whereas there used to be around 6 - even those behind the D2 hotel have vanished - as @musgrave points out there are a few on Soi 6 on the other side of the main road). Doing a bar hop on Soi 6, they had a few customers who seemed to be long time expats and a handful of not particularly attractive boys either playing pool or glued to their phones. 

So many of the good and fun bars have closed - many before covid. If you have not enjoyed the old town and the scenery, Chiang Mai is certainly worth a visit. As a gay venue, keep your expectations low. Adam's Apple with the boys in shorts and shirt tops? This used to be such an exciting bar with nudity. Alas for progress!

Would like to visit Chiang Mai, if anyone know Circle and Adam Apple which bar have more muscular boy and big cock show? Thank you very much
