My rough calculations would suggest the QE2 would need 25 millions gallons of fuel to cross the Atlantic Ocean. It's capacity is about one million gallons.

Cunard estimates it gets 50 feet/gallon of fuel.

I'm sure he was more than capable of doing so, but it beggars belief he was the first.

 

If somebody had asked me, before I read this, I would have guessed as soon as the Iron Age cut in. . . :lol:

Another piece of information that was passed on to me that is incorrect. :( It seems scissors were really invented long before Da Vinci was around.

Yes, scissors existed about 3000 to 4000 years ago in the Bronze Age. I wonder just how accurate any of the information was?
