Love motels Colombia

Hi everyone…. At one point someone posted a link to a website of love motels in Colombia (or maybe it was Medellin). Does anyone recall that post or link? I’ve done a bit of digging and can’t seem to find it. Could you re-up if you do? Thank you!

I don’t recall such. It would have been of some interest to me. However, I did post info a while back specific to Brazil where they are prolific and have some ad infrastructure. That may be the memory you seek jogging for. I did post a little bit of info about Bogotá, having utilized Motel Las Palmas in Chapinero, around 62 and 14. There is a cluster on that block.

Hey @Ethanmiamithere are too many to list, but might be an interesting discussion on which ones are clean and hassle free.  I was laughing this weekend about the infamous El Poblado motel discussed under Angelo as I was walking by to get coffee. Still unconvinced that it is a love motel, but other members claimed it was found in the app MotelNow so let's go with that...

There are a couple that I know in El Poblado -- tucked away discretely in the side streets off Avenida El Poblado on Calle 14 and aother on Calle 14. There are also probably a dozen (or more) in the area around La Setenta (Cra 70) and the Giradot stadium area. Just do a Google search for "love motels" along Avenida Colombia and you will see lots of pins appear.

Feel free to DM if you want more detials. Chao.

So many have pointed out my error -- thank you --that the other location was on Calle 1 Sur (not 14) and I was informed tonight over drinks that this location is no more. So we are down to 1.5 Love Moteles in El Poblado, but I would expect that to change quickly given the differencesI am seeing in the neighbourhood this year.

There is one on calle 52 near the Palace of Culture in the city center. Almost next to the Bancolombia cajero on calle 52 but I can't remember its name, sorry. Look for the little sign with prices on the wall just inside the open door to the street /calle 52; take the stairs to the first floor. (Price is 15 mil for short term use). The boys from Parque de Bolivar /the park in front of the Cathedral, know it (it is 5-10 min walk from the parque)

Last week in Medellin a guy for hire told me to meet him at Hotel 574 in Poblado. It’s nice and we were told there were no available rooms and I had the feeling they don’t take walk in business. We walked around and the guy found a hostel with some rooms in a nearby building. Not nice, but clean and the bed worked. Also met an escort at a place in Laureles with 60,000 for 2 hours rooms. Definitely seedy, but clean. Yesterday rented a 25,000 for 2 hours room in Cucuta, big bed, aircon.

There's an app called Motel Now that you can download. It will show you the motels near where you are. You make a reservation on the app but it doesn't charge you.

regarding the love motels in Avenida Colombia: I was refused access to plenty of them (collins, eva, ..), because they don't have a 'lcense for foreigners', whatever that means. Eventually ended up in 3D suite motel, pricey at 95k COP, but great looking rooms with jacuzzi and hassle free.

The only other motel I ever used for short time is hotel roma, very LGBT friendly, rooms are simple and a bit noisy at 60kCOP, in centro.

There's also a cluster of motels on av 33 in Laureles, but didn't try any of them.

Thanks for this...good to know,. I recently met a favourite scort at the Lov 24 (not misspelled -- that is the name) hotel on Avendia Colombia and had no issues, but maybe he organized something in advance of my arrival? Nevertheless thank you for sharing your experience with this.

Sorry to badger, but that was my question:

Why is it easier than in ur hotel room?

Because of the distance/logistics involved when you meet a guy downtown/at Parque de Bolivar and you stay in Laureles or El Poblado. Secondly, some may not prefer to take these guys (read street hustlers) to your hotel room due to the potential issues involved (with the hotel or if the guy starts demanding more money etc; I believe you have experienced yourself recently how uncomfortable it is when the guy makes a scene/demanding more money and refusing to leave).

Plenty of good reasons I believe...

I'm asking bcs I've never been to a motel. Is it a better place to deal with such incidents?

In my hotel there was security, who could be counted upon to forestall violence. Is that also possible in a motel, if a hustler grabs ur wallet?

I have walked the parquet de Bolivar several times (during the day) and never saw men I thought were hustling.  plenty of women, but not men.  what did I miss? Skaters, drugies, men hanging around.... but .....  I looked, smiled, stared, watched.  but never got the vibe.

yes. I would never take an escort in my hotel room. Its my own save space i dont want to share. And its the space where I am in and out for some days. I dont want to give it a "brothel-feeling"...:D  Thats why I like the Brazil saunas. U have all you need and when you are done you leave and have a nice dinner in your hotel...

But: Where did u find the hustler? :D

Those are the guys you should be looking for! (drug addicts, skaters, unemployed, homeless etc hanging around Parque de Bolivar in the afternoons). The guys there are not doing obvious hustling and it doesn't seem to be their purpose of going to the parque but they seem to be aware of why some mature gentlemen go to the parque. Some of the guys will see you as an opportunity to earn some quick and much needed cash. Some are more outgoing and experienced than others; most likely it is the former that (sometimes) will approach you and strike up a conversation if you seem interested. Admittedly,  patience and some luck will be needed as well, i.e. being at the right spot at the right time.

You shouldn't go to the parque with the expectation of handsome and tidy gym fit or muscle guys lined up, smiling and soliciting their services; it is more subdued and as stated before the guys will be on the rough side (I mean personal hygiene, clothes etc) i.e. far from what you find in Gigolo Erotic House/Garage gogo bar, Mileroticos website or Brazilian saunas, so it is def. not for all/many of the readers in here.

Hi, I am travelling to Colombia soon. Seems to be difficult to get a room if you dont want to invite them in your "private own space" neither to go to their place because of safty...so a "Love Motel" would be a good option. But i cant find an app like "Motel Now" in google play...is "Motel Now" the right name of the app?

One advantage of the love motels is precisely that...no one leaves until they have confirmed that both parties are safe. The main door access is controlled by the reception, meaning they do not allow the other party to leave until they check with you.

So yes, in my opinion this is a huge advantage to the Love Motels in Colombia. The management know precisely what is going on and are there to ensure your safety.
