Guest lvdkeyes Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 I received this e mail from US Embassy a short time ago. February 24, 2009 This warden message alerts U.S. Citizens traveling to and residing in Thailand that demonstrators from the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD)-known as "red shirts"-have started to gather at Government House to protest against the current Democrat-led government of Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva. It is anticipated that the UDD will have over 15,000 protesters in attendance at this rally. There is also an ongoing demonstration taking place adjacent to the JW Marriott Hotel located on Sukhumvit Road between Sois 2 and 4. Approximately 1000 labor union-affiliated individuals have gathered to protest against Krung Thai Bank. Quote
Guest shebavon Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 The show must go on. Can't they give it a rest? Quote
Guest lvdkeyes Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 The show must go on. Can't they give it a rest? Toxin will not rest until his cronies are back in power. It is fairly common knowledge that he would like to topple the monarchy. Quote
PattayaMale Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 These demonstrations must be costing a bundle of money. With unemployment rising it probably easier to pay people to participate. Both the PAD and the UDD must have very rich backers. Quote
