PeterRS Posted October 20, 2022 Posted October 20, 2022 The old Lumphini location just off Rama IV and near Lumphini Park was great for watching Muay Thai. The new location further than Don Mueang airport is just too far away in my view. In fact virtually all the venues are off the tourist trail apart form the Rajadamnern Stadium. Great though the bouts are to watch, for decent seats you really have to pay either 2,000 or 1,800 baht and book in advance. Quote
reader Posted October 20, 2022 Author Posted October 20, 2022 If you have access to local Thai TV, I’ve founds Muay Thai bouts on True about 1800-2000 hrs. most nights. Think it’s channel 24. Quote

pong2 Posted October 20, 2022 Posted October 20, 2022 There as also a favorite such place for taxi-drivers along Outer Ratchdamnern (east of Sanam Luang-near the golden mount) and that has also been pushed out to suburbia (Bang Khen I think, indeed somewhere in the areas where also DMK sits)-much better to manage traffic. Both were mostly enormous populair becse of the illegal bets. But that was already some yrs before covid hitat least 5 yrs ago by now Quote
