It's up to the guy, some will ask for 1500, 2000, 3000+ (plus off fee to the bar).. It's luck of the draw and what they are happy with.

One thing to remember is that it can be good to avoid paying multiple days in advance or agreeing to multiple days in advance, just pay him LT daily. Ask if he will stay with you for the day tomorrow, then ask again the following afternoon.

If you decide it's not working out on day 2, you will have fewer issues saying not tomorrow rather than trying to change the arrangement.

I'll be visiting Bangkok for the first time this year and I was wondering which places are the best if I want to find twinks? Especially those that like to top.

very sound advice I gladly second.

Generally  it's always bad idea to pay in advance unless boy in question is tested before several times.

Multiple day off , even with best guys may turn sour after 2-3 days as inevitable boredom sets in unless both sides are very compatible in day time, non-sexual activities or giving themselves time off  every day

Part 14: Boyztown 

Yesterday I've spent most of my time at the beach. From Jomtien I was walking to the Dongtan side of the beach. I passed a few of the beach lounge renters until I came to a very good looking young guy with a good body. His shirt was open so you good see his well defined torso. Off course I didn't need to walk any further and I rented a sun lounger with him. It costs 100 baht per day.

Around 5pm I returned to the Agate for a shower and some rest. Because I had plans to visit Boyztown in the evening. 

Around 10pm I had my walk around Boyztown and neighbouring streets. 

A bomb looked they had no customers as when I passed by and looked inside there were no boys on stage. Only few shirtless boys on their phones sitting outside.

A soi further it was very quiet. Dream Boys had their outdoor lighting on, but there was nobody standing outside and the door was closed. So also this was not very inviting for me to go in. On the opposite side of the road, at X-boys, I did see a few boys sitting outside. But not my type of guys.

Toyboys had a stage full of boys in underwear. They were all wearing something else, so I assume the boys were wearing their own underwear and not something provided by the bar. The guys were wearing number tags. I did see different types of boys. From skinny twinks, to rougher looking farmer guys and hubjs with a little more muscles. 

But my final destination was Boyz Boyz Boyz. I wanted to catch their 10:30pm show. It was only after I was given a seat and ordered my drink that I was having a good look around and realised what I was looking at: 25 boys on stage, also here all different types present. But only 3 shirtless. The rest of the boys were wearing jeans and shirt. In a boybar, where they try to sell you a boy... As a customer I want to see the quality of the goods I'm buying first. And that's hard to judge when there's too much packing material around it. Also the boys did not wear number tags. So asking papasan for information about certain boys was a bit difficult. 

About 40 customers inside. Including a hug group of around 20 people (half of them women) that were having some kind of party. Besides me only 3 other falang, rest were Asian customers. 

A drink cost 350 baht and with this you get some free popcorn. The signs "Everyone here doesn't have prostitution" made me laugh... Yeah right... 

The show started with the candle act you see in many boybars... There was another act with 4 boys with towels around their waste doing some erotic dance/striptease and underneath the towel they were wearing see-trough underwear with half hard cocks... Off course there was a ladyboy and also a guy doing a playback act. Both with background dancers. First part of the show ended with a very nice b-boy act that was Iver very quickly and could have go on a little longer because it was fun to watch.

I just finished my drink when there was a little break in the show and all boys came back on stage. Still almost all boys in full clothing. There was one more very goodlooking guy that took off his shirt now. My type of guy: not too skinny, a bit of muscles. Cute face. 

There was another very cute boy in the bar. He was having a bit curly hair, young look. Stood out from the others because he was a bit different type. He somehow had a bit of a French look over him. But apparently there was a "waiting list" for him. First he was having a drink with the guy next to me. As soon as he had finished that drink, he went on to a next customer on the other side of the bar. Also he was fully clothed. 

I asked papasan for some information about the boys on stage. "Only have tops, no gays". When I told him I am top myself, he suddenly had some "gays who can do anything" on offer. Yeah right. Information from this papasan was not going to be very accurate and helpful I thought. 

I decided I had seen enough and took a Bolt taxi back to Jomtien. When I walked to my hotel I went on Grindr and a goodlooking Cambodian boy that sometimes works "freelance" at @home bar asked me for a drink. Decided to go for it. And it only took one drink for me and him and a small conversation to decide he was going to be my catch if the day. Bar fee of 300 baht and drinks paid, and my hotel room at Agate was conveniently just around the corner... Boy asked 1500 baht. Prove that Pattaya prices are still lower than Bangkok...

I think most would suggest Freshboys for a bar experience. Would also consider massage shops that have been posted about here. The location some members have recommended for a very good chance of finding the guy your looking for would be K-Man Spa adjacent to Saphan Kwai BTS stop.

But you don't have to get on a train. If you're not shy, just walk by shops in Silom-Surawong. If you spot a guy outside a shop who makes eye contact and smiles, start a conversation (use Google Translate if necessary) and see where it goes. Even if he doesn't fit the bill, others may step forward or he may recommend a friend.

Use the search function for terms like "trip report" and massage shops".

Part 15: More adventures in Boyztown 

On Tuesday during daytime I decided to go visit the Sanctuary of Truth. Really a beautiful and impressive place. A bit expensive to get in (500 baht entrance fee). But for this you get a guided tour for about 45 minutes / 1hr. For me, the guided tour was a bit too long. With too much and too deep explanation about the philosophy behind the temple. Why are we on earth and in what kind of society do we want to live? After the guided tour you're free to explore the temple on your own and make lots of pictures of the wood carvings.

The Sanctuary of truth 

For dinner I was meeting up with @bkkmfj2648. We ended up in French restaurants Nathan's just outside Jomtien Complex on Thappraya Road. Realy good good, nice atmosphere. They trained their staff very well. It's run by a French expat who is funny (and a bit queeny...). Had a very nice dinner. 

After dinner we went for drinks in Jomtien. Sitting at @home bar, discussing boys, life in Thailand and other stuff. Was really nice to meet up with somebody from this forum for the first time.
The Cambodian guy I offed from @home a day earlier was happy to see me again but I made clear this time I was there just for drinks with my new friend. Off course I tipped him for being our waiter. But no off this time. As I like to butterfly and only occasionally will go with the same boy more than once.

The next morning. Sitting on the terrace of O Delices for breakfast. Watching the boys of Soda Massage getting ready for the day. Than @bkkmfj2648 turned up unexpected also to have breakfast. We didn't make appointment, just happend te be there at the same time. So we continued our conversation from the night before while enjoying the good breakfast. And we also decided to meet up again that night for another dinner and round of drinks in Boyztown this time.

Few hours in the afternoon spent at the fresh water pool at Agate Hotel. A quick nap and than getting ready for the evening program.

After walking around Boyztown and neighbouring streets, we decided to go in Dream Boys. I found out why last time I passed this bar, it looked like there were no boys. Because when they don't have customers, all boys are inside sitting on the couches inside, not visible from outside. As soon as we came in, all boys went onto the stage, trying to get our attention. Soon I had a favourite. Number 19. He was smiling at me the whole time. And he has nice body; a littlebit muscled. Just the way I like them... 

Because they didn't have a show, drinks prices were very reasonable. I paid 150 baht for my Coke. They had about 15 boys, all shirtless but in jeans. Number tag attached to their jeans. Papasan was so friendly to inform us about what boys are "men" and "gay". About 66% of the boys were gay according to papasan. My number 19 was among them. Lucky me.

I could have offed number 19 than and there. But the night was still young and we actually wanted to check out the show and boys in Boyz Boyz Boyz too. So decided to go there and maybe come back to Dream Boys later to off number 19.

Number 19...

When we arrived in Boyz Boyz Boyz the show was in full swing. The B-boys doing their part. Nice to watch again, specially the one who was super ripped. Via papasan we asked if there was any possibility to off this B-boy but the answer of the boy himself when he came to collect the tips was a definite "no can do".

When the barboys came on stage it was same af Monday. They were all wearing jeans and shirts, except for two. One of them was the very sexy boy I spotted Monday already without shirt. Sexy body, muscles, nice face, blond bleached hair. Because the papasan we had tonight was much better than the one I had Monday, I was starting to ask for some more information. Papasan would let mr bleached hair come to us so I could feel and touch his muscles. But very soon I found out this guy is straight and only goes home with girls.

Than there was a waiter I was interested in. Because he looked very cute and somehow innocent (with glasses and smart watch). Papasan found it funny I liked the waiter instead of one of the boys on stage. He went to this waiter to ask to come over to us. The waiter spoke good English so had a nice small conversation with him. Sometimes he would go with clients. But almost only to go out for drinks. And when more would happen, he was going to be top only. But... He would be willing to suck cock. This seems to be a nice opportunity for me. But than papasan interfered and told me because he is waiter and no regular boy, it would cost me 500 bahf off fee and 3000 baht for the waiter. I found that a high rate for just some sucking. I told the waiter I would be happy to pay 2000 but I couldn't pay 3000, even as he was a very cute guy in my opinion. He didn't accept my offer.

So it was back to the original plan. My number 19 from Dream Boys in the meantime had found me on grindr. He was still available. And via chat he confirmed he is gay and can "do everything". So went back to off him: 500 baht for the bar, 2000 for the boy. And quickly we were in a Bolt taxi to Jomtien... After the deed was done, I gave him the agreed 2000 plus and extra 100 for the taxi home.

now you know why I try to keep all those papasans / mamasans at distance and only allow them to interfere when I need transation.

Waiter had no option other than refuse your offer   since if he accepted it , papasan would be losing face. I wonder how much of that 3000 had you accepted would go to papasan. My educated guess is 1000.

2000 for short time in Pattaya is still very generous so I'm glad you did not accept that extortionate offer.

Thanks for the great company and fun these last 2 days.

Let us not forget about my obsession with trying to find the hot ripped abs Burmese car wash guy mentioned in GayinPattaya's post.  With our vantage point from @home bar, we were hopeful to spot him - but I do not believe that we did.  Anyway, we had many a good laugh.

I can confirm that Emiel's Number 19 was a hotty.

I had my eyes on Number 20, but after we returned to Dream Boy's from BoyzBoyzBoyz, I was already beyond my peak.  Now that I live here, I will make another trip to Dream Boys to off Number 20.

Time and laziness since I am now physically based in Jomtien.

There are now so many bars and things to do in the Jomtien Complex (Supertown) that I always forget about Sunee Plaza. 

Going over to Boyz Town in Pattaya is already a big event.

That was exactly my thought when I read what emiel wrote. And not only waiters, I would not use mamasans or papasans when negotiating offs with the gogo boys either.

he was in May , 

I happened to be of quite different opinion about him as he helped me few times  including one when boy was not so sure he wanted to go with me and he vouched for me I'm good guy ( shock here ! ).

But fact is I never used him nor any other mamasan in any bar to negotiate fee neither I asked them what fee should be.

ignore them politely, do not engage in conversation, do not admit ( where applicable ) it your first time in Thailand or their bar. If they ask you anything, answer briefly without elaborating.

If they ask you which boy you want tell them you like girls better. I do this all the time, nobody believes but everybody gets clear signal 'leave me alone". When nothing works  stronger statement like ' I'm Ok , I don't need anything " or more sophisticated ' Me no speak English' may work'. In bars with twinks you may also  say " I like only big boys like In Tawan", conversly in Tawan tell them  you like small boys and if they show you their resident twink tell them he is still too big for you.

if you visiting bar with somebody i.e. another forum member tell them you are with boyfriend.

Never buy them a drink unless YOU want to.  They are not rude , just opportunistic , if they sense we are weak in knees they exploit it.

Don't be rude as at some point you may need their help, for translation for example. Then you turn all smiles but only then

This was exactly what is was saying to @bkkmfj2648 when we were in Boyz Boyz Boyz together. That it looked that bar changed from gay bar to boy bar or host bar. Quite a few woman inside. And the (in my eyes) best looking boys on stage were actually only interested in the female clients (for tips or offs). In my report about my first night there, I wrote about the guy with curly hair. On my 2nd visit he was again going from table to table for drinks and tips with mostly female guests. So probabaly some of these boys earn this way enough on an evening on tips / drink kick back alone that they don't even need an off.

Agree. From all the Bangkok bars I visited I think freshboys has the best full experience. Show, atmosphere and good variety of boys. Specially for a firdt timer Freshboys would be the best choice I think.

For me that's was because what I made out of other reports the bars in Sunee will not have my type of boys. I'm more into hunks than twinks.

I was actually talking to the waiter himself directly trying to negotiate his off fee. But papasan just jumped in himself. What I probabaly did wrong is talked to papasan earlier about the boys on stage and later used papasan to get the attention of the waiter. So papasan felt he was involved already. I still feel like I missed out for not bringing that waiter back to my hotel room. Would have been nice. Should I have agreed on the 3000 baht off fee anyway? 🤔
