Those of us who engage in irresponsible / dangerous or unsafe activities must be honest with our healthcare providers.  Physicians have seen it all, and being less than candid is deceptive and curtails our good healthcare and the health of those others we interact with.

That’s a lot of rimming. I hope they showered well. Bound to be a few that might not have. I hope you have your hepatitis vaccine. 
 

like others have said, parasites are a real worry. You need a gay doctor or one that specializes in parasites. You need a swab of your throat and complete std screening. Hopefully it’s a common std, that can be treated with meds. Syphilis is a bit more painful treatment,lol.

They won’t know if it’s hpv till you have cancer. The good news is hpv cancer responds to treatment better than traditional cancer.

Do you get std screening after your trips every time?

No,but I did last week.

All the sex tests have proved negative,BUT I had no idea that HIV can take 3 months to develop after sexual contact ,so I have to go back again for more sex tests in 3 months  !!!

Yes the gay GP I saw yesterday was not much good asking me if I deep-throat😳

He looked like he had no idea why my throat was sore .

As for my throat yes it's still sore so the GP referred  into to see a throat specialist next week,a week I have to wait !!

As I said to the receptionist I could be dead in a week, if it's HPV it could spread ,but apparently she only works Thursdays and she's booked out for a week,even though I have private health insurance apparently still doesn't matter ,if I could find another specialist I would 

Cost to see her will be $300 😳

I imagine it will be done on her office with no sedation?

Well guys today my lymph nodes ( I think U call them that?) under Neath my chin was swollen so though I would get a second opinion other than that silly camp GP I saw yesterday who only referred me to a throat specialist after paying him around $75 for that !.

I keep thinking if that LMTU (let me tell u ) and I need to find out if this is HPV , I don't have time to wait weeks for appointments 

So today managed to go a few suburbs away and found a very nice young GP available.

This was a large medical centre and they asked me questions did I have a sore throat,did I travel overseas etc ,I denied it all otherwise I would never see a doctor .

Anyway my name got called out and the doctor seemed to be a you g good-looking arabic guy 😉

He introduced himself and said he was doing a 1 year exchange as a doctor here in Australia from Egypt .He was 28yo😅he told me 

anyway we got to the point and I told him I went to Philippines & Thailand ,and I had unprotected sex.

I didn't even have to tell him it was a men , because his next question was did you have sex with man ,woman or both?

I said both ..I was embarrassed 

anyway my symptoms I told him were burning sensation in throat and swollen lymph glands under my chin.he felt under my chin then put gloves on and felt under my arms ,no lumps there , 

he looked in my mouth and then asked me what sort of sex I did .

I said oral sex on males .

he said "without condom? 

I said yes and I rimmed them too

He looked puzzled 😳," can you explain this ? He said 

I hesitated. I didn't know how to explain this to a young good-looking Egyptian doctor

"I done oral sex" ......and before I could get anymore out...he said " oh ok without condom on them"?

"No no no ...I said .." oral sex but on their anus "

he sat in his seat ...looking like he was shocked...😳😳😳he didn't speak like for a few seconds staring at me .

now guys I had to lay face down on his bed and YES I got a hard on as he stuck a swab in my butt😉😉then he put that swab in a clear plastic cylinder 

I felt like he was pushing the long swab in my anus a long time like he enjoyed it 

Then he swabbed my mouth down my throat and yes I gagged ,( different Swab🤣 and out that in a clear plastic cylinder

he then said to me take this small jar to the toilet and pee in it bring it back ..pee a little first 

then sent me to a gorgeous Filipino guy in the medical centre who took all my blood test 

he was very gorgeous,and made me feel calm as he took my blood I really felt like asking him for his number 😂

I had this vision of rimming him in the pathology room.

I guess in a few days I will know my result  ,but I peeked at a note in the pathology room and it says to the blood guy ..possible glandular fever???

so no idea .. as long as it's not HPV,anyway next week I have some indian throat lady ready to gag me with a throat camera not looking forward to that at a cost of $300

It's an endoscopy. I've had two done decades apart but the camera went down further to assess stomach issues. Usually done without sedation. The only part I found a bit strange was swallowing the small tube. Or it can be done as part of a combo - endoscopy and colonoscopy for which many hospitals will offer a discount (but the colonoscopy part is a lot more expensive). Sedation with an anaethetist present is usually part of the colonoscopy procedure - at least it is here in Bangkok.

Thanks...I have changed from seeing the lady indian throat specialist to seeing a Professor of throat specialising in HPV, I looked him up on the internet and he works at a private hospital not far from me ,he has articles on Sexual diseases and throats and going by his website seems to be one of Australia's leading doctors on throats and sexual diseases 

One wouldn't think they have doctors who have interest  in sex & throats but there is 🤣

So I emailed them my urgent concerns and will see him next week at a cost of ...wait for it ..$500 !! (We are all in the wrong job obviously 😂

I wonder if he has to make tax deductible trips to Asia to study it 🤣🤣

So I will need to tell him truthfully what I did,  rimming etc 

They his office have requested all the blood tests etc before going to see him,but after receiving this medication Cilicaine VK from this new GP who thinks it was Glandular fever I feel much better .

Apparently Glandular Fever is caused by kissing & rimming so may be it ?

Very interesting,I had no idea about this disease until I saw the written paper the doctor wrote  

had all these symptoms a few weeks but put it down to Covid.

I had no idea what Epstein Barr virus was but yes deep kissing or exchange of saliva can cause it.👍Thanks very interesting article

it could be a few things - a full STI check and/or maybe an anal pap smear, to check for anal cancer.  Sometime in last two years was first I’ve heard about anal Pap smear. Yet, another reason to see a doctor very well versed in gay mens health.

I caught Mono/EBV around 10 years ago and had similar symptoms to yourself.

My doc didn't think that it was possible for a guy in his 30s to catch it as most "normal" people catch "kissing disease" when they are in their teens but that's what the blood tests showed up.

Perhaps (like me?) you were too busy being a nerd or closet boy when in your teens to get caught with mono.

Also back on their subject of poppers, they do tear the throat out of you when huffed persistently so it could have helped cause damage that helped the infection get hold 

Finally it seems that the gay Thailand forums have an obsession with bacterial infections due to rimming. Completely unlike other similar forums, where this is never mentioned, I grant that the SEA diet is different to most countries, but it does seem like rimming gets an unfair deal on the gay Thailand forums!

What’s wrong with discussing the risks of rimming? Certainly doctors don’t have time to talk to us about it. It’s up to us to be proactive about our health. The other forums should discuss these matters more. To protect our health and the boys we bop.
