Unexpected reunions and few shattered dreams - 22nd trip to Thailand in May 2022

Day 3

After morning round,  shower together and then compensation time. 3000 is my long time offer and V is giving me back 1000 saying that 2000 is enough. To his credit  it took some persuasion   for him to accept my offer, well deserved after all and matching what I paid him when we met in Dec. I was still pleased by his lack of greed . Advantage of dealing with guy who is nor bar affiliated and has regular job. After financials  were  settled we went to Foodland for breakfast and parted our ways , not for long that’s  sure .

I went to dentist Dr. Smile to fix  chipped  out  tooth at substantial savings compared to home prices.

In between all that debauchery there are some digital activities. Some guy from Grindr is sending me at least twice a day messages’ do you want massage” , no name , no nick , no face pic on his profile   but picture is showing quite muscular torso and thigs so I asked if picture is his and he confirmed.

 One of members is recommending me masseur he had home visit from when he was in Thailand earlier and I’m taking that recommendation seriously as he is one who found V and helped me in Dec to hook up with former model X.

 And speaking about X, he is sending me Line messages subtly asking to visit  his business, no doubt having hope for some lucrative contracts for in the room meetings.

So I went to see it all the way to lower Sukhumvit but it turned up  he gave me wrong directions , did not find his business but had a chance to see unknown part of BKK.

Upon return to Raya I collapsed  on the bed – jet lag, usually third day which is today is worst for me.

After hour or two sleeping I went to see some curiosity reader reported on in winter – Polish sweet shop Paczkarnia in  Chula University campus. Since it’s not that far really and I’m not Asian I just walked there and found it quite easily with help of google maps and small polish flag hanging outside , tasted their paczek (donut) and cold coffee called Warsaw Fog and kept walking to National Stadium BTS  to return home by train.

At 8 p.m. jimbill, anddy and me  met at G’Bangkok, German restaurant in soi 4 for a dinner. For some reason this trip I developed taste for their schnitzels   and world will see me dining there almost daily, bringing few guys with me so they could taste farang food. There’s security – they have Thai and fusion food on the menu in case your guy is not keen on farang stuff.

Well fed all three of us set for discovery mission , New Twilight bar , newest addition to Bangkok scene and quite impressive at that. Clearly lot of money was spent sprucing the place and we were curious how it is.

Few boys in t-shirt and jeans on the stage , few familiar faces  from other bars , quite a few new and visibly shy on the stage but shyness was soothed by few red notes and it was kind of visible that tip was booster to newbies standing. More next door type with aspirations and as far as I could see most of them offable. Show first though, well choreographed with good execution and real dancing. No nudity though.

After show guys returned to stage bare chested  which confirmed that  # 4 on whom I had my eyes from beginning. I saw his pics earlier somewhere so called him over. Let call him S , Cambodian, quite very handsome so I did not waste much time , agreed to go with me. What about the price ?

Sticker shock, 3000 short time , 5000 long. As uninvited  mamasan explained before anybody asked  that’s the model price for model quality. That ambitious assessment although guy stood out a bit so  being in early, naïve and still well financed stage of my trip I agreed .

Bar has funny vibe, in big part thanks to youngish owner who seeing that off is in the cards rushed I out advertising promotion “ take 2 boys and third one will be free and that will be me “. Not excessive claim and yes for free I’d consider to take him out as he looks quite good , at least when fully dressed.

So we had fun and I got a guy. He declined my usual  dinner offer but hearing that tomorrow morning jimbill and me are going to Grand Palace, expressed an interest in going with us. He was not even unfazed when I told him that we are going early in order to beat  the crowds and breakfast will be at 7.30.

 Good catch and quite energetic , accepting even early morning gymnastics so I was happy with my day 3 and  guy who helped me to finish the day but was it worth 5000 ? My original note from that morning says ‘ overpaid but not without sense “ which for me means next off only next trip but yes , I’d go for him  but at standard price , perhaps more than once but S is lacking muscle  for me to pay  premium fee.

I think we all pay more than we like in special circumstances. But if we are satisfied with results then the experience was worth it.

We make decisions like that not I just our offs but in our everyday life. We can’t go back and un-spend those amounts so no sense dwelling on them.

agreed. I mentioned that story just to show readers that at times we may have dilemma - we like guy but he seems to overshoot his expectancies.

If we go for it , we , like me in this case may be happy but have feeling we are too frivolous with resources. If we stick to our practices and decline or try to bargain down there's risk we miss or spoil the fun. I rather go for fun than for 2000 baht so it was easy decision and as we learn next day, worked out better than just hitting the sheets

I don't agree, 5000 for LT seems to me very exessive amount in this price I get guys in my country without all the efforts going to Thailand so I will decline it immediately without any hesitation.

3000 is the maximum I am willing to pay for LT .

U can get a guy overnight in your country for roughly usd150? Can i know where are you from? Maybe i want to visit if thats true.

yes but on pain of being impolite - who is asking you ? It was me who paid that after all and I was with the guy so I can assess if fee is excessive or not knowing what I got in exchange . You  can say is that it's a lot of money  and it's easy to get some company for much less but qualify expense ? Not enough information I'd say.

There are not many countries and probably none in the West where we can get 1st class guy for 5000 baht for the whole night, quick mutual   blow job in toilet on platform 5 perhaps yes,  but overnight?

Nothing wrong with setting ceiling , like yours 3000, mine simply is 2000 more perhaps because guys I like are somewhat rarer on the market . That's price ceiling we put on our dreams I guess. But by  setting such restriction we need to accept that we may be missing some really hot action with even hotter guys.

The conversations we've had about this in the Brasil boards over the years.....But in Brasil, there seems to be a larger local market, much larger than tourists, that are the customers. So by foreigners coming in and paying huge amounts of money, it raises the expectations not only from the one that got paid the money, he tells his friends and so on.....then it upsets the "norm" for what everyone expects, even the guys of lesser qualities. Kind of like I see here negative comments about the Chinese buying up the place and taking all the action....stuff like that. Is one of the reasons I stay within the respected range of prices for off's, short time, and a rare overnight, I'm kind of frugal and live in Mexico....I go to Thailand for the culture and cuisine, btw

It is 1.30am in Bangkok and i just left Jupiter. I was quoted 4.5k to 5k for LT but I just couldn't bear to spend that amount. However, i must say that many Jupiter guys look really good!

I couldn't bear to spend that amount too.

I won't be surprise if most of the days models whom insist this exessive fee aren't get off by clients.

who quoted you ? mamasan or guys themselves ?  I'd never get mamasan involved in price negotiation unless befriended him before as they tend to inflate prices and then press guys to share the spoils. That's most common explanation I hear when I ask guys why they changed bars or massage joint

Based on my experience you did right thing by declining. I went for it and it did not really worked out as I dreamed, report in few days

this is how market economy works. On another hand even 1 off per week at 5000 is still 20000 per month

Day 4

No problems with early rising and rinsing, at 7.30 on the dot we entered world famous , jimbill joined us there and after breakfast we hailed taxi and went to the Grand Palace. Taxi from Silom was less than 100 .There is some construction so we circulated a bit to find entrance , they made sure we are not wearing shorts. Tickets are 500 , Thais free. Since S is Cambodian  I paid for his ticket.

Visit was a treat, just like private tour due to early hour and sparse crowds.  Even Emerald Buddha temple we had almost to ourselves. We were also pleased with S as he clearly was interested in sights , tried to explain to us some motives and rituals. That was pleasant contrast with last time I was there with a guy who couldn’t wait until we go back.

 Wat Po with Reclining Buddha is walking distance   but ever stylish we took tuk-tuk to take us there, 50 baht for good start of the day for driver.  The same situation , few visitors,  while in normal times seeing Reclining Buddha is testing patience, fact well testified by signs on the floor ‘wait here” and so on. Us three and perhaps two Japanese girls was all crowd in the grand hall with statue.

Instead taxi or MRT ( Sanam Luang station nearby is very impressive ) we decided to go by the river to walked to a Wat Arun ferry nearby. They made us waiting 15 minutes so we had some beer and S called him Mom in Cambodia proudly showing her farangs he was guide of , at least this is  how he presented us I presume. Don’t believe he said ,”mom , tonight I slept with that grey haired  guy in glasses, he snores like saw mill “. Ferry is whole 4 baht , 25% rise from Decemver when I paid only 3.

From Wat Arun we took tourist boat to Saphan Taksin  at 50 a piece for single trip and there by BTS to Silom where we parted our ways. Than you both gentlemen for such interesting trip.

Jet lag is still there so I had some rest in the room, went to change money as at those tip rates is almost daily ritual, did some laundry and at dark to soi 4 for my daily schnitzel .I truly don’t like soi 4 and never did but somehow this trip I’m frequenting it daily, shame on me.

After dinner to Hot Male downstairs bar for chat with paulsf, jimbill  and bar boys there with Alex behind the counter and tiny Laotioan clingy as always.

From my rotation today was supposed to be Jupiter day so it’s where we went to feast on their handsome guys , in process to get frozen and deaf  at the same time. A/C was set waaaaaaaaaaaaay too low and sound volume  waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too high.

   We had out drinks , watched the show and parade of their semi-gods looking great and even greater but lacking smiles as always but due to noise it was impossible to say and hear the word so with great relief we left that noisy Arctic and I went to Tawan . I wanted to off Dum who fortunately was available and I sensed , upon seeing me full of hope today will be his turn. It was late so not much time in bar, drink , off fee and off we went to Raya.

Since I offed him few times in the past he had all advantages of known quality. Wanted 4000, I offered 3000, he reluctantly but wisely agreed . Why wisely ? Because that was max I ordered myself to offer for tonight.

K, hero of my first night no doubt told him what he got as they are friends and hailing from the same city but  muscle  beats belly any time in my books and he knew it. But there are very few babies in the world who have such silky skin Dum has. So I finished day 4 holding 30 y.o. baby in my arms.

Even without offs, they get paid to report to bar and parade. They also get paid for every show they take part in. And not forgetting tips from customers. Definitely still higher than average salary of a waiter or worker in restaurant which is 15k a month.

Maybe this explain why they are not keen to be off and insist to get exessive fee.

I was at Hot Male last night after dinner at 7 plus. Got to know a waiter from Laos named Ong. Chatted awhile but strictly professiional. Not clingy. Maybe a different waiter. Will go again tonight.

It's because there are only a few models in Moonlight and they are heavily publicised and promoted on social media. They have many fans.

But because there are 25 guys in Jupiter, it's harder to stand out. I know customers do tip the Jupiter guys discretely. Maybe on the night you were there, you didn't see tipping.

I also know of the Jupiter singers receiving thousand baht garlands and other gifts. Don't ask me how I know! Hehe
