Exactly! I don’t get why some clients (current or potential) don’t get this. Viagra like a lot of pharmaceuticals are available at any farmacia in the DR without a prescription. Just go up to the pharmacist and ask for Viagra and pay for it. There are at least two farmacias on El Conde alone, even more all through Zona Colonial. If you’re not bringing your own stash on the trip, go get your blue pills when you go to the ATM or to get a cup of coffee.

Clients looking like Thomas Jefferson or George Jefferson expecting young hot studs to show up to their hotel rooms / AirBnBs all turned on with massive erections. Oy vey! I think this is what happened in the OP’s case. I have had unknown posters contact me through PM and ask me leading or invasive questions about particular workers. I don’t take the bait.

I’ve had several private messages from long-time members either telling a similar story or being duped by the same person.  And, you’ve all seen the posts on this thread from other long-time members.  This is not an isolated situation and has happened to many.

As mentioned, the member communicating with me had stopped public postings (because he was being questioned) and seems to have moved on the private messages only. 
I didn’t have enough experience here to know what could happen.  I don’t participate in any other social media for precisely this reason - potential invasion of privacy. 

Yup, I was too trusting and thought this was a relatively safe-space among like minded people.  My goal in posting this was to warn others who may not know what really goes on here among a relatively few members - and to be extra careful.  Yes, I should have looked at the profile page before I offered any information - and then pattern would have been clear. That was my mistake.

However, any one of you could potentially be identified with information posted here if the person is determined - or, at least someone could insinuate you are “friends” to a sex-worker or procurer similarly mentioned in this forum.  The sex-worked I alluded to just hadn’t been the target of prior harassment (like Manny) to know what was happening.  
 

Lesson learned.

You shouldn't feel bad because it truly isn't your fault. When I joined this forum a few years ago it was filled with sooooooo much helpful information with regards to overseas travel. 

I honestly couldn't have been so confident in my travels had it not been for this forum and the informative posts by the members. 

Again, I am a member of a lot of STRAIGHT TRAVEL groups on other social media platforms where the men travel for sex and surprisingly they have the same issues. 

I come back here from time to time to read this forum and see what I can glean from new posts. You should do the same, my friend. 

I'm sure you're excited to share and help as others have done for us, but trust NO ONE. If we want these models to feel comfortable with us, we have to give them a little more respect and privacy.

Although our intentions might be pure when posting, we now know that there are ppl here who will misrepresent the truth for their gain and intentionally disrupt these models home lives because they have no life of their own.

Throughout the years, my faith in people continues to erode away by sly individuals who takes advantage and ruin a good thing for everyone. I had also wonder why previous active members of this board no longer provide updates. 

I am sorry to see Slvkguy's goodwill being taken advantage of. Unfortunately, sly individuals exist in all walks of life and will continue to explore news schemes to enrich their uneventful existences. Trip reports are appreciated by many here and should not be ruined because the actions of a very very small minority. I hope many previous active posters make their return in the future, even if their reports contains less detail and more discretion.

I have had perfectly helpful information on several destinations through private messages from forum members (that said, I don't ask for referrals because we all have our own taste in boys. I don't ever ask the guys about their work, but a few have mentioned that some of their customers are horrible and make ridiculous demands. They don't understand it and I don't either. I have been writing trip reports for over 20 years. I share information but usually a bit after my day and I don't have full detail. When people ask me about specific guys, unless I know them personally, I don't share that with them. It is easy to help the community to grow in knowledge without getting screwed over. Admittedly, in the beginning, I share much more photos than I do today but that is based on my doing this for a long time and I do share with friends I have met personally but not someone I have not met and know or a friend has not met and vouched for.

Be on the lookout for any new posters asking a lot of specific questions. Sometimes they are going to great lengths to to describe things that can easily be found in this forum.

Again, it’s easy to spot if you’re looking for it.  

It seems that the guy is trying to harass the posters here by tainting their relationship with the GP person they are posting about.  The only tangible result this person could hope for would be to damage the relationship the poster and the GP share.  If that was not his purpose, he would simply haunt the advertising sites and harass random GP advertisers.

I say to post your posts and only share contact info with those you trust.  Live your best life and try not to get too caught-up with internet drama.

But the point is, you’re NOT a local! The average Dominican makes only $4,080 in US dollars every year (which means 1/2 of all Dominicans make even less than that). This is about the same as what the average US resident makes in one month. What the average Dominicano makes in a month, I often spend on just dinner and drinks on a night out in the US.

Keep that in mind when you're piddling over a few pesos in the DR.

I'm afraid you've all been duped. Slvkguy is the one who is the scammer here. He's been saying false things about me and trying to ruin my reputation on this forum because I have been asking questions and trying to get recommendations. I think he's been damaged in some way. I think his whole story is false now based on the things he's said about me. And speaking of violations of codes of conduct, he posted a private message I sent to him publicly. I'm still trying to get administration to remove that message and hopefully ban this jerk.
