Less than a year after successfully opening near Victory Monument, Bangkok’s first and only Polish bakery has been relocated a few kilometers further downtown.

After leaving its former location inside the 515 Victory Mall, Holy Donut Paczkarnia’s new shop on Soi Chula 5 in the Samyan area will host a grand opening party on Feb. 24, which is the Christian feast of Fat Thursday, or Tlusty Czwartek in Poland, when people overindulge in food and booze before giving things up for Lent.

The 10am-11am opening event next Thursday will be attended by Waldemar Dubaniowski, Polish ambassador to Thailand.

The shop is serving its signature paczki – donuts of sweet yeast dough, eggs, milk and butter and a splash of Polish vodka – in a variety of flavors and they range from THB55 to THB75.

The joint’s specialty cold brew coffee, dubbed Warsaw Fog, is THB60. Polish pizza, Zapiekanki, will be available soon.
