Youngbottom00 Posted May 19, 2022 Posted May 19, 2022 Anyone have any contacts of any escorts in havana they dont mind sharing? (With permission from the guy ofcourse) Going alone and this will be my first time on this side of the world. I dont speak spanish so have a local to show me around will be great. Plus the perks of sex of course XD Usually anywhere i go id just use grindr to find escorts as when i try to find them in public or clubs i dont get much luck since im young and no one seem to approach me like they would with older guys. Example i was recently in istanbul and i went to this club (tekyon) with an older american guy that contacted me through grindr and asked if i wanted to come along. He was approached by multiple escorts but no one seems to approach me. So it will probably be hard to find them in public in havana too. i will try out romeo while im there but from what i see there’s very few guys on it Thanks! Quote

If you’re younger or just don’t “look the part”, you’re just going to have to do the approaching for better results. floridarob 1 Quote

I had exactly the same problem a couples years back in the saunas and frankly still a bit today. I’d love to share you contacts in Havana but very hesitantly. The problem is, in Cuba, very fews guys are real escorts, or at least identify them so, as a result, it might be inappropriate for you to approach them directly that way. Actually you just need very few contacts there and they can probably arrange everything for you. Everyone knows everyone and everyone is everything there. Lol Quote
floridarob Posted May 20, 2022 Posted May 20, 2022 But NOT speaking Spanish will def be a handicap in Cuba....rarely will you find an English speaker. And if you do, they'll be your "best friend" for you to help his friends and family out of their everyday predicaments , lol Quote

I’ve never had any luck hiring guys in “clubs” other than sauna venues that were well-known rentboy/garoto saunas or whatever you want to call them. I understand that Havana does not have these type saunas but does have bars that cater to gay sex-tourists. If you go there, they will know you’re a potential customer without question. There’s also street crushing on Malecon, although more risky IMO. FYI - the internet is so bad in Cuba (slow, glitchy, drops) that you will not be able to work from there - and if you try, it will be an all day endeavor to do basic things that would take 5 minutes elsewhere. It’s that bad. Quote

It’s that bad. Im going on the 6th June and will be there for 2 months. So far i manage to contact 1 guy there from Romeo (most others have not been online for weeks) but that guy has been asking a lot of strange questions which made me decide to ignore him. First he ask where i was going to stay and then he started asking how much money will I bringing with me and what phone brand was i using 🤦🏻 From what i read havana is quite safe but to take extra precautions i wont carry much cash with me and my airbnb host who lives in the US allow me to transfer money to her and her mother in havana will give me cuban pesos at the good exchange rate. May i ask what are the names of the bars that cater to gay sex tourists? Using Grindr explore it seems to be working there but theres only very few profiles and all are tourists. Other then Malecon do you have any other recommendations for cruising or places to find guys/escorts? How about Mi Cayito? It seems to be listen online as a gay beach Quote

While there are black market exchanges, they should only be used by experienced travelers in Cuba. I would only use official exchanges at first - but just my opinion. 4 minutes ago, Youngbottom00 said: May i ask what are the names of the bars that cater to gay sex tourists? Las Vegas is one bar w hustlers that has been written about on these forums if you search Havana. There may be others - do your research here. Mi Cayito is the only gay beach in Havana (20-30 minutes by car from central Havana) that I know. Cuba is not an easy place to navigate for tourists & the internet is awful, unreliable & slow. Americans are literally financially cut-off when on the island - only cash you bring is available. Good luck Quote
Members macdaddi Posted May 23, 2022 Members Posted May 23, 2022 Going to add here that I cancelled my trip to Havana specifically because the problems related to the pandemic (food shortages, unemployment, etc.) continue to plague Cuba. I understand that it is a Catch-22: without tourists, the economy cannot recover. But after speaking with my friends I decided to postpone until things improve. For the member asking about hustlers and guys for hire. Las Vegas showbar (drag) is a known spot, you will see guys by the pool table who are looking for foreigners. Avenida 23 is the centre of young Cubans meeting to socialize and there are plenty of groups of young gay men that congregate along the Malecon on weekends. The ice cream parlour Bim Bom is known for the gay hustlers that congregate outside its patio (and I have seen some spectacular specimens there). You will also find men for hire in the Parque Central situated along the Prado de Marti across the street from the Grand Hotel. Here in the benches of the gardens you will find many young men (many are boxers from the two clubs nearby) offering their wares for sale. Others have described clearly the issue with internet access in Cuba, but I will add that those that can secure a SIM card do have access to WhatsApp. My Canadian phone is able to "roam" when in Cuba (this is just in the past 3 years) so it is easy to contact people once you have a phone number. But cruising apps like Grindr et al. is largely a waste of time in Cuba. tm_nyc 1 Quote
Youngbottom00 Posted May 23, 2022 Posted May 23, 2022 Thanks guys for all the advice and suggestions! I will check out all those places. My airbnb host had mentioned she will have a cuban sim card for me so hopefully internet is not too horrible and i can still manage a bit of work macdaddi 1 Quote

Cuba only allows 60-day tourist visas to nationals of a handful of countries. Most are 30 days max, that can be renewed for another 30 days once there. This would be quite a bit of a heavy lift for a first-timer with no contacts or relationships on the island. floridarob 1 Quote

I got my travel card for 30 days and will have to renew it while im there. It’s my last year before i start university so wanting to travel a bit and cuba is right on top my list. I plan to travel around the whole country hence the 2 months there. I would stay longer if i could but from what i know is that i can extend it for an additional 1 month only. Working isn’t really an issue as im working in a family run business and only communicating with customers online which my other family can do as well. Just hoping i can work a bit so dont have to put everything on them. Depending a lot on my airbnb hosts now which may not be a good idea. From internet to transferring money. I did join a cuba travel group on facebook and many seem to recommend getting help from your airbnh hosts. Worst case if cuba end up being a bad decision ill take a flight out to DR or colombia Quote

June 1 is start of hurricane season. While the strongest hurricanes don’t typically happen till later in season, they can happen earlier. The season runs through November. Cubs is not prepared for hurricanes as first world counties are - and evacuating to safer places in Cuba or leaving the island could be problematic. Familiarize yourself with Hurricane Watches vs Warnings and have a plan. I imagine basic items like bottled water and food would need to considered given overall circumstances on the island now. Quote
