Guest Saturday Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Pattaya Passion is proud to announce that Phase Two of it's renovations is set to launch on February 5, 2009. If you are a Phase One member, please remember that you must re-register on the new board. Due to incompatible software/hosting issues, it is necessary for each user to create a new account. If you would like to carry over your total post count and rank status -- just PM Passion Patrol once your registration has been confirmed and we will set it up for you. Please come visit www.pattayapassion.com and find out why we are indeed "The Insider's Guide To Gay Pattaya!" Quote
Guest MonkeySee Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Please come visit www.pattayapassion.com and find out why we are indeed "The Insider's Guide To Gay Pattaya!" I have not had the pleasure of experiencing "The Insider's Guide to Gay Pattaya." Is there anything to it? Quote

Guest RichLB Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 just a pointer to others as addled as I am about things computer. If you had bookmarked the link to PattayaPassion and click on that, you will go to the old site, not the new one. Seems you have to either click the link provided by Saturday up above or enter www.pattayapassion.com to get to PhaseII. Quote
PattayaMale Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 I looked at the site today Feb 5 and I find it attractive but believe the promotion claims are way over the top. I don't really get the "insider" thing. I see nothing that isn't "exposed" on the weekly report. The format is nice, however the idea of forcing people to register to even see if the message forum is something they might be interested in bothers me since there is no privacy policy. I have no idea if the list is sold to others or not. To me it is flash with no real substance. How do others feel? Quote
Gaybutton Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 If you had bookmarked the link to PattayaPassion and click on that, you will go to the old site, not the new one. That's because, from what I understand, the old board will be left in place as an archive. You need a new bookmark to get to the new site. Quote
Guest Saturday Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 That's because, from what I understand, the old board will be left in place as an archive. You need a new bookmark to get to the new site. Gaybutton, you are correct. The old board will remain as an archive at the same url it always had. The new forum is now part of the main http://www.pattayapassion.com site. PattayaMale, the absence of a privacy policy was an oversight on the registration page. The registration page now states that... "Your privacy is important to us. We will never supply our membership list to any third parties for marketing purposes. Pattaya Passion only uses this information for internal purposes or for Pattaya Passion email announcements. However, please note that with each post, your IP address is recorded, in the event that you need to be banned from this forum or your ISP contacted. This will only happen in the event of a major violation of this agreement. Also note that the software places a cookie, a text file containing bits of information (such as your username and password), in your browser's cache. This is ONLY used to keep you logged in/out. The software does not collect or send any other form of information to your computer." Quote

I thought that's how the "show unread posts since last visit" function works. Quote
