I grew up reading her Vampire novels and loved each and every one. Queen of the Damned is special to me for many reasons. She lived a long and fruitful life and I loved following her on Facebook.

Anne Rice's son announced her passing on Twitter, complications from a stroke.

I remember as a Gayby, how excited I was to read Interview with the Vampire. and The Vampire Lestat.
