Popular Post floridarob Posted November 9, 2021 Popular Post Posted November 9, 2021 In Looking for hotels for January, I booked something for the 1st night on Agoda and messaged the Venue to check rates for subsequent nights and they responded with this, which makes me feel better about going: Hi Robert. We are now a SHA Plus+ certified hotel and can be used for your first (and subsequent) night's stay. We are still waiting for the testing details from our partner hospital before we can finalise our package price. We hope to have this within the next couple of days. I will send this info to you as soon as we have it. We will always match or beat any price for staying with us that you are able to obtain elsewhere. When we receive the hospital partner details I will email you with the first night price and the price for subsequent nights. In Pattaya I like the Venue, Classroom Hotel, Ambiance and Agate.....I've stayed at a few others but these are the ones I'd return to. TotallyOz, splinter1949, Vessey and 7 others 10 Quote
PeterRS Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 I know the Venue has its popular cabaret show quite late in the evening - or it used to. I know too that many have enjoyed it. For whatever reason, it has always left me cold! Just not my type of entertainment I guess. But because of the noise and the possibility I might occasionally want an early night, I would not stay there. Just too much noise. Quote

While show noise is not that disturbing , on few occasion soi late night noises were. One I was so desperate that at 2 am I went down to QMark bar and hired twinky Cambodian to calm my nerves in the room. It worked TotallyOz, reader, stijntje and 4 others 1 6 Quote

vaughn Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 Does anyone in the area know the status of Poseidon? I've heard mixed reports on if/when they're openning. Normally i would book at Agate but they're still not showing when they will be open. ***edit*** I did a bit more digging and found Agate's instagram, it appears they are SHA and opened on 15th November. Their website still shows no availability so maybe they only accept booking through the SHA sites. vinapu 1 Quote
Travellerdave Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 The Venue is the only major hotel in the Complex that I have not stayed in. After a few year I finally settled on the Zing where I liked their larger rooms and also the pool. It’s at a sufficient distance not to be in range of noise from the bars. Unlike the Poseidon it’s not 100% gay. I anticipate checking availability in a month or so for a visit early in 2022. Quote

I reside in Thailand and contacted The Agate by e mail, they would have accepted my booking for Christmas week but they are only taking bookings on a room only basis (no breakfast). Because I wanted to be able to have breakfast in my accommodation I reluctantly booked a condo instead. vaughn 1 Quote
