PattayaMale Posted January 30, 2009 Author Posted January 30, 2009 That's what I would do...fall asleep. I do that in regular cinemas so I am sure I would do it in a lazy boy, as long as he kept still. The new airport had the same opening appearance as Buckaroo describes, but eventually it was cleaned up. They rush to open and don't even have time to clean the windows and replace the flooring damaged during construction. But I am sure it will be corrected eventually. I am going to visit for the first time this Sunday. Is it possible to enter the car park from both Beach road and 2nd road? I must have overlooked what Buckarro described. I thought the Central Mall was well constructed, and beautifully done. The first 3 days the mall was very crowded so the maintenance staff might have not been able to keep up with cleaning. I don't know. But the restroom that I hung out in was very nice I think it is better to enter from 2nd road as it is less congested if it convenient to do so. If you like sushi and sukiyaki, it is hard to beat the restaurant with the conveyor belt, close to Canton (GB described). 250 for all you can eat in 1 hour and 20 minutes. Four of us went there and we were stuffed after 30 minutes. The rice includes drinks and dessert, both self served. Quote

You know what made me laugh? There's the new mall, with all these restaurants and food courts. Meanwhile, there is also a KFC and it was filled with Thais eating in there. Unnnnnnbelievable! Did you have any luck in that restroom? Quote

I guess they like chicken, too much? Quote
Guest lvdkeyes Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 I have to admit I like KFC also. Quote
Gaybutton Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 I guess they like chicken, too much? Depending on one's use of the word "chicken," there are unfortunately a few farang around who seem to like the same thing. Quote
KhorTose Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Since we seem to have changed the subject to American food chains, I am struck by the fact that Pizza Hut is so popular in Thailand. Especially since it is not cheap, and filled with milk products that Thais normally avoid. Quote
Guest lvdkeyes Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 What about Taco Bell in San Antonio Texas? I could never understand that. But, this is way off the subject. Sorry. Quote

I would much better stick with Thai food with the occasional visit to KFC thrown in. Quote
Gaybutton Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Today I discovered one thing about Central Plaza. Sunday is the wrong say to go! Just getting into the parking lot was virtually impossible. After waiting at least twenty minutes I gave up and ended up at Villa Market instead. I wanted to try shopping at the Tops in Central, but the mall was just mobbed today. I'm not surprised. During high season I expect things like that. I also usually avoid the beach on weekends for the same reason. Quote

Of course, it all depends on the type of pizza you like, thin crust, thick crust or deep dish. Quote

Gaybutton Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Gentlemen, I'd like to steer this thread back to the topic - the Central shopping mall, remember? If you wish to discuss foods Thais like, no problem, but please start a new thread and discuss it there. Quote
Guest shockdevil Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Ok, old news but I was cleaning off my computer and found this video I shot when I was at the mall on opening night on 23 January 2009. Thought I'd share. Quote
