I had hoped for another position but Biden is doing what he wants to do. However, this is a good move for Biden and well deserved for Buttigieg. He's a very smart, thoughtful man. Pete reminds me of Clinton/Obama-style talent. While Transportation Secretary may not be the most glamorous post, the job will be something Pete can sink his teeth into, and it will help polish his rising-star status in the Democratic Party. It's terrific that Joe Biden appreciates his talent and gave him this opportunity. Pete will benefit greatly by having a mentor like Joe Biden. I very much look forward to see where this will go.
